Very awesome class. I enjoyed it thoroughly. She does teach off the powerpoint, but you are able to retain the info.

Mrs. Sprowl is a great teacher. If you go to class she gives you outlines that you follow along with her notes and she tells you exactly what will be on the test. She also gives you open book quiz's each week after class that are easy and give you points. She gives a chance for extra credit every week by bringing in an article and then also some other extra credit. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

Mrs. Sprowl only teaches one class. A night class. She goes over a different Chapter every class and before each one she posts study guides on Blackboard. Just print them out read the chapter and make sure theres nothing that needs to be filled in on the guide, then just listen in class in case she adds something thats not on it and thats all the notes you need. She also posts study guides with the page numbers for the items that are going to be on the test so you can refresh yourself. Also each week there are weekly quizes for 10 points that come from that days lecture and you can help each other, just not use your books or notes. You can bring in a nutrition related news article each week for 2pts extra credit which add up so I strongly recommend bringing one each week. Theres a 15pt extra credit assignment later in the semester and her tests are in class and you need a scantron. They are multiple choice and true false with 4 essay questions for extra credit. There is no reason you should not get an A if you just read the study guides and do all the extra credit you can. Its an interesting class learning about what we eat. I strongly reccommend Mrs. Sprowl.

Mrs. Sprowl knows what she is talking about. She is a very sweet and understanding lady. She trys to scare you the first day by saying that she wont have any make up tests or quizes but really she is understand and will allow make ups. She only teaches night classes and they are very relaxed. Most of the time you stay the whole class but it isn't bad, the material is interesting. She has a 15-20 minute break in every class. And she puts a not review on blackboard. BUT you do have to go to class because there will be parts on the outline that you have to fill in. Over all if you semi study and attend class you'll get an A.

This class was super easy. I had it on tuesday nights and it sometimes was dry lecture but it was worth it for once a week. There is extra credit available every week for nutrition based articles that you can share with class (2pts each). Also there is 15 pts extra credit available for food diary that you can do during spring/fall break. Grades are based on tests and quizzes. There is a quiz each week--you go over it in class...easy 10pts. Tests come from study guides. easy class!
