Mrs. Witcher is a great professor! While I am not a fan of public speaking, she did make the class tolerable. You will do three speeches, three exams, and a major paper of 4-5 pages. Overall the class is not bad at all. I could have received an "A" but I was lazy because of my lack of interest towards the subject. Take her class if you need a public speaking course!

Overall not a bad class. She grades pretty easy on your speeches - its the tests that will kill you. They aren't that bad if you study your notes - and take good notes in class. She goes by powerpoint and it's pretty easy to follow.

This class wasn't that bad. Ms. Witcher is nice, and she will try to help you if you need it. The only thing I could really say negative about her is I got the feeling she didn't like me very much, and I think that did influence the way she graded me on the speeches. Overall though the class wasn't that bad and she was okay.

Ms. Witcher is a really nice instructor. Her class is pretty easy. There are 4 speeches, but they really aren't hard. The test are harder than the speeches. If you don't read the chapters you won't do as well on the test. I never read them and I think if I had I would have done much better on the test. She doesn't give alot of notes and she is one of the most helpful instructors I have ever had so far. I would take her again.

Ms. Witcher is a very good teacher. I don't particularly like giving speeches, but it's not that bad. Just be sure not to miss a speech day because she may not believe your excuses. A lot of people dropped the class senselessly, when they're just going to have to take it over again. I wrote most of my speeches the night before, and still made mostly a's on them. Just do the work and you'll get a good grade.

Mrs. Witcher was a fair teacher she was kind and easy on the eyes so I can't complain too much, but at times the note taking could get a little boring. Studying is necessary to do well on the tests and the speeches are actually pretty fun, because if you're lucky you might make her smile at you!
Anyway good course, try it out!

Ms. Witcher is a good teacher. She is a fair grader and will do what she can to help you.
Although a little corny sometimes, she is fun and really a great person to take this class with. I'd recommend her 110% to anyone!

I took this class (as a freshman) and it was one of the easiest classes I have had. Book may or may not be required, but it has a lot of good examples that may help-I remember them better than the lectures. All notes came from the book and were on PowerPoint slides. She posts them on Blackboard but it's not necessary to print them out - she reads right from them, which can get a little boring sometimes. Four or five tests, but she gives a review sheet, if you study a little you'll be fine. Her tests are very straightforward, the essay is for extra credit-10 points-and she gives partial credit! One interview (grades lenient), two speeches (not as lenient), one group project (I thought she was lenient b/c we weren't prepared). Heard that this class was easier than Public Speaking and rumors seem to prove this true.

Ms.Witcher is really nice. She gives notes on powepoint and they are not a lot. There was only one test, and all you had to do was to study from the review sheet because all the questions were from the review sheet. All the Quizzes she counts as EXTRA CREDIT that she adds to the exams(mid term and final)There is one interview, group project, two speeches and final exam which is comprehensive.A very nice teacher and really easy class if you do your work and attend the class.
