Taking 3 years of Spanish in high school made this class a joke. I barely studied and made A's on every test. The textbook really helps. She is a good professor but the students in the class were pretty rude. If you're a good, nice student you won't have a problem in this course. If you took more than 2 years of spanish in high school I seriously recommend the CLEP test. Don't waste your time or money on a language.

DO NOT TAKE PROF. EAGLE. She is by far one of the worst professors I have taken at WKU. In fact, the ONLY professor here that I have not had a good experience with. Very strict grading, difficult exams, excessive busy work, horrible professor.

For the love of god save yourself. It took her two weeks to define what an anthropologist actually does, which is absolutely Nothing by the way. The notes are terrible. Attendance is very over aggressive. She beats around the bush about everything and she is very unitellegent in
my opinion. Don't take this class as a freebie. Unless you have nothing better to do do not take her. A complete waste of time. The tests on average are about 3 hand written pages. I made a B but I typically ace gen Ed classes. Seriously pass this one up guys.

This was by far my hardest class my last semester. I made an A but I worked extremely hard for it. Her PowerPoint slides only contain a few sentences so you have to pay really close attention to what she says and determine what is important. I had to pretty much write a book for every paper and test in that class to get a good grade even though her syllabus claimed otherwise. DO NOT TAKE EAGLE! But if you are bound and determined to, do all the extra credit because it can add up to 4 points on your overall grade.

She has no specific guidelines for anything she assigns. She does not let you see her rubrics until after she grades. She talks too much and she holds an intro class to extremely high standards. She grades hard for some and easy for others. A short anwer question on the test takes a paragraph or more to answer. She is a terrible processor. Do not take her!!!!

I took this level 100 class in the hopes of getting an easy A, this was not to be though. Dr. Eagle treats this class like a level 300-400 class. She only allows 3 unexcused absences, which is a little harsh, considering most professors allow up to 7 in most cases. There are 3 exams, all of which are essay heavy, which she treats like an english major. Ohh, and don't bother e-mailing her, she will not respond. In conclusion... DON'T TAKE HER CLASS!!!!!!!!!

Main notes were on Blackboard - able to add lecture to them in class very helpful. 2 books textbook and ethonography. Fair amount of homework and reading to do. Not a class to be missed as attendance is part of the grade. Overall a very good teacher.

Three hard exams. She has you to read an ethnography and answer several questions over it throughout the course. Pop quizzes are given with usually 10 questions on each. I took several notes to try to keep up but listen, this is the worst professor I've had yet. She makes an intro class feel like a 300 level class. Do not take her! By all means, if you have to take this class it is in your best interest to look for another professor. One of my friends took this class as well and failed.

Mrs. Eagle is a very nice lady and teaches this class with no biased perspective. This is not an easy course however, I was very fortunate to come away with a B. You have 3 exams, 2 midterms and a final, they are challenging to say the least. You are expected to know material from lectures, textbook, and ethnography. I did not read the ethnography which killed me on the exams. I failed my first exam in about 6 years in this class. You have two projects which are graded fairly, make sure you follow all guidelines. I forgot to on one of them and got a poor grade. You also have to write an ethnography journal, lets just say i barely read any of the book and got a B on the journal. Overall i would not recommended this class, but if you have to take it, like me, then take Mrs. Eagle.

Dr. Eagles class is the hardest class I have ever taken at WKU. When she handed back our last paper me and a friend started celebrating because we both made C's on the paper. That is the best grade either of us made in her class. She is a complete Bitch that could care less about her students. Whatever you do. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT take her class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If there is a smart person left in this world, I would do EVERYTHING in my power to advise him/her to NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. I have never been more overworked by a 100 level class in my entire life. I took 400 level courses that were easier than her class and received A's in all of them.
She expects the class to read three books throughout the semester (the text and two ethnologies), distributes pop quizzes, homework assignments, discussion board homework, virtual classroom assignments, essays to write, etc. I worked my ass off for this class and she couldn't have the decency to ROUND my grade up to a B. She doesn't believe in curving grades or helping people out with extra credit. Oh and if you EVER miss a class, not only will you miss the plethora of info she distributes, but she will deduct points from your overall grade. She's the epitome of work-a-holic professor with no personality at all. TAKE ANYTHING BUT HER CLASS.
