Additional Comments |
Each week you have to read a chapter from the textbook. The book is pretty small yet interesting, so most weeks' readings are 10-15 quick pages. He frequently gives out short quizzes over the readings, and a lot of class time is spent discussing them.
There are three exams; essays are easy as long as you've paid attention, but the multiple choice ask about details that can easily be overlooked. There is a 6-10 page research paper for which you get to pick your own journalism-related historical figure or subject.
This was a laid-back and easy-going class led by one of the coolest professors in the School of Journalism and Broadcasting. Take it!
