Dr. Coffey was an amazing teacher! He really made it fun and he is funny for an old man! His test are kind of difficult because he makes you use you head. He twists the definitions. But overall it is an easy class with a great teacher!

Not a hard class, and I learned a lot. I attended every class, sat in the front row, did every homework assignment, participated in class, and made decent grades on all the tests, and quizs. I expected an A because I consistantly did better than the people I sat with. He doesn't post grades anywhere, and seems to be biased to attractive women, Ag students, and people who he talks to a lot. He is a very strange man.

All I can say, this is probably the best class I've ever had! Dr. C. makes this class so much fun. I would take it again in a heart beat!!!!! LOVED IT!!!! Take it even if you don't need it.......Great!!!

Dr. Coffey is kind of odd but in a good way. His class is really entertaining and most of the time made my week bearable. He likes to make fun of kids but its all in good fun and you really do get the opportunity to learn a lot. If your taking rural soc. I'd take Coffey he's a pretty cool dude.

LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS CLASS! if your taking rural sociology it better be with Dr. Coffey! hes amazing and hilarious! this i one class you will never forget! hes worth waiting for to take this class with! make sure you go to his study sessions for the test and youll do great on test! i didnt have to take the final because i had an A. so its great!! =)

This was no doubt the best class I've ever had at Western. I loved every minute of it. Dr. Coffey is WONDERFUL!!!!! He makes the class so much fun. His test can be somewhat challenging but if you get your "Ass" to class you will pass. I can't imagine anyone not liking this class. I can't say enough about it. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

I RECOMMEND THIS TEACHER, HE IS VERY INTERESTING AND MAKES THE CLASS FUN WITH HIS JOKES. HE OFFERS A DIFFERENT PRESPECTIVE ON FARMERS IN THIS CLASS.

This class wasn't necessarily 'hard'. I'm a soc. major, so I felt that he didn't do the class justice. He talked more about farm stuff than rural society. He loved to pick on students, specifically to degrade them. I'm intelligent, and he made me feel absolutely retarded most times. He talked about sexually explicit topics that I felt were unnecessary. At times he is entertaining, but I don't recommend him to people with a Type A personality or those who are made uncomfortable easily.

Dr. Coffey makes this a really fun class. You will talk about things that you never thought would be discussed in a classroom. I actually enjoyed this class, and it was very easy to stay interested in what he had to say. Though it is a fun class, the test are very hard. Dr. Coffey not only wants you to know the material but you must understand it to do well on the test. But he will occasionally curve the test, and will let the people with the highest grades out of the final, i think there were about 8-10 people that didnt have to take the final

I am not going to lie...Dr. Coffey is a strange man, but I love him. He likes to make fun of people, but it's all in good fun. If you are sensitive stay clear. He has study sessions for his tests. If you come to class and pay attention, you will do fine. It's an interesting course. The tests are not your normal test, they are kinda off the wall stuff, but he gives you chances for extra credit, that he adds to test scores. I love this class, but I'm an aggie. I could see how it wouldn't be for everyone.

Dr. Coffey is a really fun teacher. He adds a bit of humor to his class. The tests are basically all multiple choice, fill in the blank, and a few true or false. He gets students involved and gets their opinions. It is a really great class. I reccomend it to anyone.

Dr. Coffey is a awesom teacher. he gives you the notes which usually ain't much and all the tests are over the notes he gives you. he goes over tests before hand. if you go to his class you will easily pass if you have an A you don't have to take the final. very interesting class

I really liked Dr.Coffey but his class is very diffucult. The tests are hard. He is hilarious and his class is interesting.Don't write anything embarassing in your personal information on the index card because he'll ride you about it all semester.

Dr. Coffey is my favorite teacher at Western! He makes sure you're not bored and gives you something to talk about. I recommend this class to everyone.

Coffey is the funniest man I have ever met in my life. His class is a complete and utter free for all... anything goes. The F-bomb flies around the class like it's nothing, and you'll spend half the class laughing at his insane humor. Tests are hard... but it is sooo worth it. He really cares and wants to learn about EVERYONE in the class... constanlty calls people out, makes you stand up and tells everyone to look at you, then he'll ask an embarassing question... but its all in good fun. TAKE THIS CLASS...SOOO MUCH FUN>

Dr. Coffey is a very entertaining professor, but that's the best thing I can say about him. His test are hard and challenging, he does let the top 5 students out of the final but I don't believe it is necessarily based on grade, its based on how much he likes you. Furthermore, even if you have an A in the class going into the final (as I did) do not be surprised to see a huge drop, and its no use trying to talk him into changing it. And be sure to pay attention to the questions he asks because you never no when he will pick you, and make you look like a fool. If you want to have an entertaining professor who is ready to make fun of you at a moments notice, take him if not steer clear!!

At first, I didn't care for the professor; however, once I had been in his class for awhile, I really thought he was an excellent teacher. He is very different from any professor I have ever had. He is very blunt and straight forward, he commands respect from the students or they regret it. I really enjoyed his class and I hope to take him again for another class.

I didn't like Dr. Coffey all that much. The tests were pretty difficult, too. I thought he was pretty weird. During the evaluations at the end of the year, he stayed in the classroom the whole time...

Very entertaining and this helps you learn the material. Some of the test questions are tricky and there aren't many tests (2 plus the final), but there are extra credit opportunities. If you are in the top 3% you don't have to take the final.

Dr. Coffey is an excellent teacher that makes you open yourself to other views. The tests are difficult if you don't study, but aren't bad otherwise. If you have one of the top 10 test scores in the class, he lets you out of the final. He is a hilarious teacher...I'd take the class again if I could!!!
