The class is pretty easy for a 400 level class. All the slides he uses are posted on Blackboard and attendence isn't mandatory. He offers very little extra credit so you want to make sure to do well on the thought responses and other papers. As long as you look over the study guide you'll do fine on the test.

Adam West is an awesome teacher. You will enjoy his class. He makes it fun, interesting and just apply yourself and the info he gives you... your grade won't suffer. He's a family man. He gives great examples of the subject matter and he is NOT judgemental. This course and THIS teacher definitely ( I think) will be beneficial to anyone seeking an understanding of family violence, exploitation, abuse and situations you may need to deal with now or in the future.

Honestly, I picked his class because of his name. But I'm glad that I did. He is a great teacher. He's new from Texas. Talks about his family a lot and gives lots of examples. Very willing to help anyone who needs help. If you attend class, you shouldn't have a problem. I have him for two different classes and am trying to take another with him as the professor.
