Additional Comments |
Jerry Daday is an interesting individual with a sometimes odd sense of humor. Any class that is taught by Dr. Daday will not be an easy one. He expects you to read all of the assigned materials, which is where the weekly quizzes come from, (~ 20 questions on Blackboard) Attendance is semi-mandatory but well rewarded. There are three random days in which he will take attendance throughout the semester, if you are present for all three occasions you will receive 20 extra credit points at the end of the semester. There are three exams in this class, taken on blackboard. The exam questions are composed of approx. 40% reading material and 60% of the questions will come directly from his lecture. There is a mandatory, cumulative final that is worth 35% of your final grade. When I say cumulative I mean cumulative. There will be questions that were covered the first day. Dr. Daday makes the class as interesting as it can be considering that it focuses on sociological research methods. He doesn't take any bullsh*t from anyone. If you want to make a point in class be sure that you have the facts to back it up. Rest assured that he will have facts and lots of them.
