Dr. LeTourneau is one of the best professors that I have ever had. That being said, he is very serious about this profession and the students who pursue it. If you aren't serious about journalism, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. But if you are serious about it, get ready for a GREAT class!!!

If you are not seriously going into the field of broadcast news...drop this class...now.
If you have a passion for news and respect for those who know it...get ready for the best class of your college career.
You will learn how to "look" for news and see everyday things through the eyes of a reporter.
Letourneau is strict, sturn, and sometimes downright mean but he'll teach you more than you can imagine in one short semester.
Get to know him and prove yourself to him as a journalist and you'll gain his respect. In my opinion, he knows more about the business than any other professor at WKU.
If you want to succeed in this business...get acqainted with him.

This class is by far the best I've taken! LeTourneau really enjoys what he does and shows it. There is a lot of work involved, but if you're in this field, you should already know that! You have to write A LOT of stories just like you would in your job. You have "current event quizzes" once a week and grammar quizzes. You will have to run the teleprompter once during the semester (at the station) and go to the radio station once a week for an hour, and write news stories with a bcom365 student...overall not a bad class...just go!

This class taught me alot. Dr. LeTourneau is a man that really knows his stuff. You have to learn how to take him because he can come off as being a little arrogant. Make sure you attend class regularly and you'll do fine. I enjoyed this class and Dr. LeTourneau is very intelligent in the broadcasting field.

The reason I have a yellow face instead of a green is for the course, not the professor. I like LeTourneau, it's just this course is almost all peer evaluated. I just don't like that. I don't think there are any tests, but there is a final project. Seems like a pretty easy class, but it will ruin my perfect GPA.

He asks questions in class that he wants you to answer but if you answer them he will make a fool of you in class. He rambles and is a real jerk. I had him for three classes. Get out if you can.

Professor LeTourneau is a very good teacher who knows his stuff. He assigns a lot of homework, and you have to take two quizzes each week, but I really enjoyed this class. I highly recommend him.

The textbook readily contradicts the professor. So when doing homework, it is not good to refer to examples from the text. The professor assigns homework everynight and he grades very hard, even if the material is new. I wouldn't reccommend taking him, but he might be the only one teaching the course. Just be on time and turn in your assignments when they are due. Ask questions to others in the class, but not him. He thinks his lectures should explain everything.

I thought I did horribly in this class but he's an extremely flexible professor and I came out with an A. It's a lot of work and sometimes he can come across as being rude but you just need to have a sense of humor and learn how to take him. He doesn't take attendance but you have quizzes everyday and if you're not there you can't make them up so it's to your advantage to make it to class!!

Mr. LeTourneau is a great guy. He teaches well and makes the class enjoyable to go to. You will have two quizes per week. One, you have to read the fron page of the Daily News for 6 days and know EVERYTHING about those papers for a current events quiz and the other is a take-home grammar quiz. You have to work in the radio studio for one hour/week to write the newscast for the bottom of the hour. All in all it is a pretty good class...to get an A is extremely difficult, but a B is attainable. You may also see your teacher grading your papers up at BW3's. Have Fun.

He is by far the best teacher I have ever had. He knows everything about broadcasting and is extremely enthusiastic to teach it to you. You can talk to him about anything from current events to a new bar in town. His class is interesting and he gives you the test questions before the test. He does give a quiz each week, but he tells you the questions and the page numbers for the answers the class before. What more could you ask for in a teacher. I wish that I could have a LeTourneau for every BCOM class!! :)

He is one of the most interesting teachers at Western because he has worked at what he is teaching. He really knows everything that he talks about and he will keep your attention. Excellent teacher. You have to do a term paper and you do have a quiz each week.
