Ok, with this class it's a little different. Grimes means well when he tells his stories, but sometimes they have nothing to do with the class. The tests are take home tests and the final is easy....all you do is go in and he will tell you a procedure (parts of CPR or whatever) to perform to a dummy and then you are done. The only thing you need the books for are to do the exams. (which there are only 2). He can come across as sexist and annoying but it's not that bad of a class. If you don't mind stupid stories, take him. (Just don't take his wife!!!!!)

This class was very interesting and easy. All three of our tests were take home tests and were easy if you took the time to look up the answers. I had him for a second 8 week course of the semester so he was really laid back, even more than usual. He has lame jokes most of the time but is nice and helpful. I'd suggest taking him!!

Good course! Includes both lecture and hands on learning. There may be a test or two that you really need to study for, but basically it's pretty simple. One test was absolutely OUT THERE, but he compromised and gave us a very generous curve (I'm sure he won't give that test again, so don't worry). Grimes is a good teacher, friendly, knowledgeable and works well with the students. Highly recommended.

He demonstrates very well. Beware of his bad jokes though!

In this course you will earn CPR and First Aid certification. Mr. Grimes is very good and knows exactly what he's talking about, but he puts it into terms that you can understand.
