Do not take this teacher!! You cannot understand what she is saying, she constantly repeats herself, and things that should be easy she makes diffucult. Pls do not take this teacher, you will regret it when you take your tests.

The course was not fairly done and she did not respond to emails or phone calls when asked for help!

There is alot of material to memorize when it comes to the vitamins and such. There are alot of notes but they're already organized by her powerpoint (that you can not veiw on blackboard). She refers to the text but you can get by without it (share with someone else). Tests are pretty straight forward. She foreign, but she speaks very good english.

This class was terrible. Could barely understand her, she has an extremely heavy asian accent. She gives out 10 page study guides that take 8+ hours to complete and more than half of the study guide isnt on the test. I spend a total 13 hours studying for the first test i took in there (finding answers to the study guide then remembering all 10 pages of it) and still got a 68 on that test. She is a nice lady but a terrible terrible professor, take someone else

Mrs. Yen is a very nice person. She is a horrible teacher though. The only grades are 4 tests and they are very hard. You literally have to know every detail of the notes (which is a ton of info) and you have to read the book. She gives study guides but they do not help you prepare for the tests. Half of what is on the test is not even mentioned in the study guide. If you have to take Nutrition, take it with someone else.

Mrs. Yen may have been a sweet foreign teacher, but her teaching skills/style was not the best. She had plenty of notes for us and gave us a review, but none of the notes/review questions were on the test. The test were very difficult and hard to understand. To at least pass the test you had to study a tremendous amount of time to actually understand her questions. The only extra credit she gave us was at the end of the class and it was only worth 5 points. Also, if you asked her for help she never really understood the concept of what you were asking. I would not recommend taking this class with her. I highly suggest another teacher if you are trying to do well in this class.

Dr. Yen is a very nice person. She is not that difficult to understand but you do have to get used to her accent. You can print out all of her notes. I made all A's this semester (and I took Anatomy & Physiology) except for in her class. In order to make an A you have to spend a lot of time studying for the exams to make sure you know all the details. The class average was a C. I would suggest taking another teacher, one who is easier, and who you could get an easier grade from.

Dr. Yen is a great teacher. She is foreign, but is not that difficult to understand. You have 4 tests including the final. It is alot of information, but she breaks it down and makes the material easier to understand. As long as you go to class, pay attention, and study you should do fine. Dr. Yen is a sweet person and cares about her students. Take her!

The professor is very nice and willing to meet outside of class but her course is ALL exams. If you do meet after class it's just for review of your exams but it doesn't help your grade any. The tests are confusing to take, they seem to have multiple answers that are correct. I struggled with this course.
