Print off the notes he puts on blackboard and you really dont have to take a single note. The test answers come directly from those slides. I didnt really care for Kennedy's attitude but everyone has to have this class so his class really isnt that bad.

Barry Kennedy is my new favorite teacher! He actually emails students the notes they need, unlike any other history professor I have heard of. He makes the class fun and entertaining...and makes you want to go to class! He also practically tells you what's going to be on the tests and what to study for. TAKE HIM!!!

Well he doesn't tell you why you get what you get...you never know how to improve for the next test because there are no comments ever written and you dont know why you missed any of the points you did. If you try to talk to him he acts like he has better things to do. He sort of plays favorites.

This class is so boring. It is very difficult to get all the notes written down, and the book doesn't help so don't bother buying it. All of the tests are essay and there are 3 extra assignments: movie reviews, a book review, and a leadership outline. Kennedy is a nice guy and I've heard of worse teachers.

If you are actually going to school to learn anything and have any interest whatsoever in history, other than just passing, then this teacher is definitely not for you. I could get up and teach better than him. He doesn't go in-depth whatsoever and leaves out all kinds of major events in history. He also only gives his version of history, so unless you happen to be a right-wing gun lovin` ultra conservative then you'll hate this class. He is derogatory to women and anyone besides Kentucky rednecks. I hated this class. This man puts professors like Dr. Jackson to shame. He shouldn't be allowed to teach history or anything else for that matter. Any guy that uses Billy Joel to teach a history class is not worth my time. He truly is the worst teacher I have ever had.

This is a great teacher,I wish all my prof. were this good.This man tells it like it is. If everyone in the america took his class then CNN would be out of buisness because they would have nobody to lie to. I highly recommend him.

Kennedy was a great teacher and I learned a lot in his class. There was a ton of notes to take, but he won't throw any surprises at you on the tests. He also has these really helpful review sessions before each test where he tells you exactly what will be on the test and goes over it. He was more than willing to help if anyone had ANY questions and he would show up at school with even a very short notice if you told him you needed his help. If any kind of election comes up during your class with Kennedy, be sure to vote and you will get extra credit for it. Overall, he was a great teacher and I have learned more from his history class than any other history class i've ever had. Definitely a recommended teacher!

He is a cool guy. Offensive if you get easily offended but other than that he is really not bad at all. He gives you all the essay questions and the IDs. the test are easy if you just put an hour into it. He cusses and I personally think that is cool. Take him if you can it is really not bad.

This class is really not that bad. He does give a lot of notes and he lectures the whole time, but he is really entertaining. He does not make it boring at all and he is very opinionated. He likes to curse so if that offends you dont take him. He is a really funny guy and always available if you need help. He is young and not yet a DR., but on his way. His test consist of identifying 10 items and answering 2 of 4 essay questions. He tells you what the essays and identifies are going to be in his study sessions that he holds before each test. He also has 3 other easy assignments for an easy grade. I made a 100 on one of his test. If you study a little, you will have no problem at all. Great guy!!!
