Additional Comments |
This course was a refreshing change from the usual lecture intensive classes. There are many in-class activities that allow you to see the materials in the course come alive through real world applications. After a couple of the class activities, most students feel comfortable to participate which makes for the ideal collage class atmosphere that many courses (and their professors) have a difficult time achieving. The exams aren't difficult as long as you pay attention and participate, and the speeches are fun for both the speaker and the audience. The student is allowed to chose any topic they want for the informative speech while the persuasive speech must be chosen from a list. Either way, people seem to find ways to make them entertaining. There is a seven page research paper due at the end of the semester so starting on it early would be the smart thing to do (unlike my choice of procrastinating). Overall, this class is fun, interesting, and gets a two thumbs up!
