If you are a Political Science major or taking the course as a gen ed. I would not pass up taking a class with Dr. Kash. The man is hilarious and makes the material as interesting as possible. You'll love hearing his old college days and dog stories. They are HILARIOUS! Definitely take Dr. Kash if you get the chance!

Ok, so Dr. Kash is not the worlds greatest teacher. He can spend 20-30 mins talking about nothing having to do with politics (his family, his dog, stories from college, etc.). However, that being said he is the most laid back teacher you will ever have. His class is just three tests and they are all short response but he is such an easy grader and if you know the material and can put together a coherant response you will get an A. Good class if you want a brain break in the morning and an A.

I really enjoyed Dr. Kash's class. He does not interject his views into the class and is a very rational person. Attendance is taken with the exception of a few days at the end. You have 4 grades, 3 tests and a participation grade, they are all worth 25 points. The tests are made up of 8 short essay questions. You get the study guide at the start of each unit. And the class before the exam you get a review. Overall if you get an A on all 3 exams, you will get an A on the participation grade and the class. Take this his class if you have to take PS 110 you will really enjoy it.

Kash, Is a great prof! He can be hard to keep up with sometimes, but that's because he knows his stuff. For your test he givs you like 7 Essay questions to study and he will pick 3 of them for the test.

This has been my favorite college class. He is by far the best professor I have taken. He is very funny in class, very nice, and he gives you all of the possible questions for his tests weeks before the test. There are 8 short essay questions per exam, and your grade is based on 3 exams grades and a participation grade. If you're looking for a fun class and an easy A, take Kash

Dr. Kash is a great teacher, and very funny. There are three exams in his class. For each exam he will give you approximately 30 essay questions to study, 8 of which he will choose to be on the exam. Before each exam there is a review day. Make sure you have attempted to answer all the questions on the study guide before the review day, so that you can ask anything you have a question over. Each exam is worth 25 points, and attendance/participation is also worth 25 points. For a 100 point total. I would def. recommend taking this class.

Kash is a great professor, makes class fun and is almost as much a stand-up comedian as he is a teacher. I would recommend this class to anyone(at least anyone interested in ps) probably one of the most interesting if not at least entertaining teachers you will ever have. You will read three books and take essay tests over all three. But this is all you have to do, and he provides you with a pool of questions from which to study either six or eight, and you only have to answer three.

Read the books. Come to class to understand the books. Decently easy A if one follows these two rules. Dr. Kash makes class fun, especially with his stand-up comedy! He knows what he is talking about.

Dr. Kash is a very enjoyable, fun professor. The tests are only worth 25 points plus there is a 25 point participation grade. So, you really have to prepare for the tests (which are essay) or you might find yourself in trouble. Overall, good class!

For all the technical stuff we covered during the semester, this is about as easy as a Poly Sci class can get. Dr. Kash is just a joy to be in class with- he is very funny and gets off topic very easily. Our discussions in class usually end in wild animal attacks or something to do with drinking (two of his favorite topics). If you like having fun in class, Kash is the guy for you. Once he gets into the lectures though, it can be pretty boring. He goes by a set of typed-up notes that he emails to you, so print them off and bring them to class so you can make your own notes on them. Included in these notes are all the test questions, exactly as they will appear on the test. For the test, he selects 9 out of the 30 you're given, and makes you do 8 of them. He expects about 5-10 sentences for each question, and looks for certain key words that you can find in your notes. The only bad part about this class is the lack of points possible. The course itself is worth 100 points...yup, that's it. Three tests, each worth 25 points, and a participation grade worth 25 points. So your margin for error on the test is small if you wanna make an A. My suggestion is to start on the questions early and split them up with a buddy in class- it's much easier that way. Overall, I enjoyed the class and it wasn't too bad at all. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Dr. Kash is a good teacher. He is a very funny guy. He gives you all of the notes and the questions that are going to be on the test. And he gives a review and allows you to ask any questions that you want including the ones that are going to be on the test. He will tell you the answers. He gives you about 2o somthin questions that could be on the test and then about 10 are actaully on there. Its easy... just go to class and to the review and study.

Kash is the best PS teacher. Trust me I've had 4 not including him. Not only does he tell great stories and make you laugh everyday he's also a very good teacher. While his test are all essay, he is a very easy grader. If you half-ass your way you'll pass.

This class is amazingly easy. Professor Kash is absolutely hilarious and he makes govt. actually really fun and interesting. You never have to open the book and he makes pre-printed out notes so all you have to do is write a few side notes for yourself. He also gives a list of about 30 questions at the end of each section of notes, and pulls the test questions directly from those. There are only 3 tests and each one is pure essay, but there are only 9 questions and you only have to answer 8. I actually enjoyed this class. You should definitely take him.

He is my favorite professor to date. I HATE politics and this is easily my favorite class this semester! Mr. Kash makes it fun. He is a hilarious person and we end up laughing and listening to him tell stories a lot of the time, but that's mixed in with topics relevent to the subject. He's very objective and the discussions (that do take up half the hour) are awesome! The rest of the hour, he goes over the notes (which he emails to us). This class was a pleasure.

Kash is a great teacher, which is always good, but especially since most PS students filter through him at one point. One of the reasons why this class was so great is because he believes in involvement, and although students sometimes have a hard time with that, it beats out lecture any day.
So you buy three relatively small books that are actually books by PS people, and not textbooks, and throughout the course you read and discuss. All the while Kash is making you laugh and learn, with the books and occasional newspaper readings for a little added discussion.
For PS majors/minors, and anyone really, this is the true introduction to Political Science, and there's no better class for it then Kash PS 201.

Professor Kash is probably one of the best and most fun professors ive had here. Here is so friendly and funny and helps out everyone. He knows his material and makes sure that you know it too. The test are essays but he gives you the questions ahead of time. His textbook isnt really required but it helps when answering the questions and he type up the notes for you so all you have to do is follow along. Hes an amazing teacher who loves to get off on his soapboxes, but I recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Kash is an awesome poli sci professor. His sense of humor and view of politics make you want to attend his class, and attendance is important so might as well go to class. When you are there, you may not always learn everything about politics, but perhaps life in general. He has a great attitude, and his door is always open when you do need help. I recommend any poli sci major to take at least one of his classes.

Professor Kash was one of the most effective teachers i have had. His teaching is very understandable and he engages you. Professor Kash loves to be humerous, and we did alot of laughing and discussing current events in class. He gives you all the questions that will be on the tests and only tests you on 12 of them, so you learn more than you need to. But i found that I learned alot with his teaching method. I highly reccomend taking his class. Hes a great guy and and yes its an easy class but you also learn alot.

Kash is a cool teacher. He does tend to get off subject a lot. My class usually spent the last 10 to 15 minutes actually talking about material related to the book. The rest of the time we talked about current events. Overall the class was fun I just didn't get very much out of it

kash's class is cool as long as you have a good attitude about it. he may not go over the material as much in class, but he is not boring by any means. i had a great time in his class, all you have to do is show up(which i didnt do as much as i should, which is why i got a B) and have the material half-way covered. he gives you the test questions in advance and helps you out enough to where it should be easy to get a good grade on the test.plus he's a cool guy to have as a teacher.

This class was fun because it was an election year we talked about the current president the whole time. Kash emails the notes for class to you once you start a new section. The best thing to do is take the review part to class and fill it in as you go because those are the questions that will be on the test. The test only has 13 questions and you answer 12. Do the review and you will be fine.

This is a VERY easy government class to take. Kash gives you the notes/test questions right when you start a particular unit and all you need to do is follow along and add information to it as he lectures and write in answers to the questions as you read the book or look back at your lecture notes (studying it about a night or two before the test). Also, Kash is a very funny guy with a lot of good stories to tell and he makes the class exciting enough to the point where it's not too boring.
So basically the class has three tests (worth 25 pts. each) and you get a 25 pt. participation grade (which is why you need to attend). Thus, if your looking for a class to get an easy A in for government this is the class for you and you'll pick up some useful knowledge as well.

He gives you all of the notes and questions to the test. All you have to do is show up and follow along and just know the questions before the test. A bit of studying the night before the final and you will do great. He is a great guy!

Dr. Kash is a nice guy and extremely entertaining in class. However, he doesn't really say anything of value to the actual course until there's about 15 minutes left in the class. He requires three books (they aren't actual textbooks) and once a book is covered, then an essay test is given. He gives out the questions in advance. There is no final exam, just a paper on the last book. Each day you get in groups to discuss a particular question about the book you are reading that week. The class time that matters is the test review day. It's tempting to skip class because you dont really benefit by being there, but Kash takes attendance everyday which goes toward your participation grade. He's an inteligent man and he makes the effort to get to know everyone in the class. But dont expect a traditional poli sci experience.

This class is one big book review. He picks three books (not textbooks), and does group work EVERY DAY discussing the books. The only teaching he does is hidden in his little comments about the books. The test questions are given to you in advance, and he is one of the most interesting and entertaining guys in the polisci department; however, if you want to learn something, I'd choose a different teacher.
Overall, though, he is a very nice guy, and his stories about his adventures in Texas are funny as well. If you are a PS major, though, you'll be poking your eyes out at how little VALUABLE material is covered.
