Chan tries... he's not a bad teacher but he is Korean, and talks with a heavy accent. I find his lectures hard to follow. He posts all his power points ahead of time on blackboard and allows a 3x5 note card for tests. He drops the lowest test score, so if you don't want to take the final you don't have to. I don't think this class could have gotten much easier except for the fact he is hard to understand.

It is a tough course, however Dr. Chan works with you to understand, whether it be with jokes or stories, you learn the material. Thankfully he only teaches one FIN 330, so his final is not normally Wed 1-3pm during finals week. I highly recommend this professor! Attend class, take notes(.ppt slides provided as an aid), and you will get at least a B. An A is very attainable, but if you slack off on more than 1 exam, it is very difficult.

Chan is a joke for a teacher. I missed about half the class days and my girlfriend (also in the class) missed even more. We both got easy A's. To do this, simply study the online website and the book. His notes are useless. You also need to look at the slides some, but all the info is taken from the book. You are also allowed a 3X5 notecard for all tests.

This is a pretty good class. Dr. Chan is an interesting professor, and I think he tries his best to make the class more entertaining. It's still kinda boring class, but I guess it just the way it is. You have 4 exams and he drops the lowest score. You also have a group project and I think that's all. He gives a lot extra credits in the exams and sometimes he randomly gives extra credits for attendance if you go to class in a day a lot of people misses it. I think he is a good teacher overall.

He post power point slides, just follow along to these in class and take a few notes. You get to use a 3x5 notecard on exams. You have a partner project that isn't so bad. You can turn it in early and he will give you feedback so you can make changed before the due date. He is a funny and nice man. Just pay attention and practice the problems and you will do fine.

Dr. Chan is a great teacher and does a good job with this class. I like Dr. Chan a lot, he has a great personality and likes for people to participate in class. The tests are hard, but you are allowed to have a note card with formulas. The excel projects are difficult, but he basically shows you how to do the whole thing in class and will look at your project if turn it in early and tell you what you did wrong. The subject matter of this course is kind of dry no matter who teaches it, but I recommend Dr. Chan.

Dr. Chan makes this class as interesting as possible. We selected groups of 2 or 3 to manage a "portfolio" of $1,000,000 on a program called StockTrak. You get to choose any stocks you'd like, and you write 3 basic reports on your portfolio's performance along the way. He gives three tests; they are all essay, but you get to bring a "cheat" sheet and drop your lowest test grade. He also gives 5 short quizzes from assigned WSJ articles. As long as you go to class regularly, this class shouldn't be too rough.

Dr. Chan is a funny professor who likes to teach. Sometimes he can be difficult to understand, but he tries his best to make sure you know the Material. There were 3 tests (including the final) and you get to drop your lowest score so if you do good on the first 2, you don't have to take the final. I would recommend this course.

I really enjoyed this class. I thought that Dr. Chan was a good teacher and he was also very entertaining. The tests were difficult but you got to use a cheat sheet which helped some. You also have the option of not taking the final if you are satisfied with your grade.
