This class was challenging for me because I had no background with ASL. I did however enjoy it, and Mrs. Wallace is a wonderful teacher. She really cares about her students and is very helpful. She has a great personality and overall I loved this class. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it was at 8am. There is also a lab that accompanies this class, which you sign up for so you can make it fit in your schedule. If you are interested in learning something different this class is a good choice and Mrs. Wallace is a great teacher.

It was a great class! Peggy is such a great woman and it made me decide to make asl my minor...that is if western gets it! Well she makes sure you understand the material, so if you don't get it, your probably in the wrong forgien language.

This is a very challenging class, but if you are interested in sign language I would take her for your teacher. She is not deaf, and there is some talking allowed in the class, but not a lot! She isn't very prompt on her grading and she isn't the most organized teacher, but from what I have heard about the other teachers, she is definitely your best choice!

Mrs. Wallace is the best teacher that I have ever taken here at WKU. I never once dreaded going to her class as she made ASL very fun and, at the same time, very easy to learn. I was dreading taking a foreign language, but this turned out to be more beneficial than I could have ever imagined! She's helpful, and uses creative ways to get the class involved and having fun but still learning ASL. I can't wait to take ASL II, but wish that she taught at that level.
