This class is the best one I've at at WKU! Ms. Floyd is so nice and she really really wants her students to understand and give us ways to use music in our future classroom! She can be a little intimidating, but she's a very nice person. You have to do a couple of silly assignments that you will probably dread when you have to present them, but do not worry! You will have a lot more fun with them than you'd ever imagine! Take her!

Dr. Floys was a hard teacher to read at first. As the semester went on, it was evident that she is a very passionate teacher, and loves what she does! She incorporates material and builds throughout the sesemter and then at the very end, it all comes together for a fun, enjoyable final! Take Dr. Floyd and you will see what it truly means to be a teacher and be passionate about your field of study!

Eva Floyd knows alot about what she teaches. She is very passionate about music. There are times she will make you feel stupid but if you take this class with a friend it should be ok. She finds ways you can relate music to different aspects in the classroom. This class is taught as if you were going to be a music teacher , which I didnt like. She is very easy. She tells you exactly what is going to be on the quizzes and test. She does incorporate everything you learn into all the lessons. She is a great teacher.

I love Dr. Floyd! I have been in women's choir every semester since my freshman year. My sophomore year was a bit disappointing because Dr. Floyd was out of the country doing post-doctoral studies, but I stuck around.
The choir is good, and Dr. Floyd is amazing. But if you didn't do anything in your high school choir, you should not expect the same here. If you don't already know how to sing in Latin, you will by the end of your first semester in this choir. It's amazing!
I highly suggest you take Women's Chorus.

Eva Floyd is a good teacher, and you can tell she loves what she does.. She def has a passion for music. There is only 2 test grades and they are both verbal (speaking to her one on one) you have 3 lesson plans due, and we take very few notes... Attendance is required because if you miss a day, she tells you to get the notes from a friend and does not fill you in, not even on huge assignments! So beware! She is kind of a moody person. She has her good days and bad days and when she is having a bad day, she gets a little snotty with the class! Otherwise, she is a good person with a huge heart... you can tell she wants YOU to learn!

Ms. Floyd is one of the most energetic and fun teachers that I have had at Western. You have to give a few small group presentations and you do have to sing in front of the class but she doesn't grade hard. There are only two tests: a midterm and a final. Both are take-home and you can use your book/notes. I would highly recommend Ms. Floyd; she makes learning fun and never dull.

This class was a whole lot of fun. There were two tests which included the midterm and the final. Both were take home, open-book tests. We did recieve a couple of extra credit assignments but they were for a project that Mrs. Floyd was working on so I'm not sure if she usually gives extra credit. You could only miss up to three classes without penalty but you'd better hope you pick a good day to miss because you can miss a lot if you are absent. There is a lot of class participation but it makes it fun. GREAT PROF! GREAT CLASS!

The class itself could be fun if a different professor taught it. Of course playing music and singing in front of your peers takes courage so I recommend you have some.
Eva Floyd is unapproachable, which makes it difficult to ask her questions. She seems to get aggravated very easily. In the beginning she seemed understanding and enthusiastic but that slowly changed into more unattractive qualities. Since the class is required...good luck and try to make the best of the class despite the professor.

Mrs. Floyd is most definitely one of the best teachers I've had at WKU so far. She is so prepared for class and you can tell she really does her best to make it fun for everyone. I personally had a lot of Music background going into this class, but Mrs. Floyd explained everything so thoroughly that anyone could have understood the musical concepts she was teaching. I looked forward to this class every time we met. Great class, great teacher! I highly recommend taking Mrs. Floyd for this class!! :)

Mrs. Floyd is kind of crazy but a fun teacher. Womens Choir is a REALLY easy A and if anyone enjoyd singing I would reccomend this class. The only downfall I can think of is that you have to buy a dress that's 65 dollars that you only wear twice but other than that she's great!

Mrs. Floyd is a great teacher. She makes students who are uncomfortable with music, excited to come to class. Music 311 is mandatory for El. Ed. majors and Mrs. Floyd does an excellent job at making the class bearable. Don't be nervous about singing in front of class because she never makes you do anything alone, you always do group projects. I highly recommend Mrs. Floyd!

This class is really fun and you learn a lot more than you think you would. You do have to buy a recorder and the music book for it, and you do need to practice on the recorder. You give lots of presentations in groups and individually, but Mrs. Floyd sets you up for it so that it's really easy and fun. You also learn how to write lesson plans. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you can get really behind if you miss a lot. The best part about this class is that she gives lots of days off to "work on group projects," and most of the time these days off were friday's for my MWF class.

Ms. Floyd is the by far the best teacher that I've ever had. She's energetic and makes class fun. Her class is easy, and you get to participate in group work all of the time. Very few notes!!! Definitely take her!
I was definitely impressed with her attitude, and hope I can be half the teacher that she is today!

She has a very snotty attitude and definitely doesn't want to be chummy with students unless of course they are in choir. The class material is fun but she grades hard. Apparently if you want to be an elementary school teacher you should be prepared to sing a song in front of the entire class and pretend they are your students. Good luck!

This is somewhat of a fun class... you learn a lot of interesting ways to incorporate music into a regular classroom. Ms. Floyd has really neat ideas and it's obvious she enjoys teaching; however, when it comes time for you to teach lesson plans (you have to do about 3 or so) she's very harsh. She expects you to be perfect with everything you do and grades hard. She embarrassed several people in my class by calling attention to mistakes they made and correcting them in a hateful way. Overall, Ms. Floyd is an okay teacher. You will learn a lot.

Mrs. Floyd makes class fun for everyone. Everyone feels comfortable in her class no matter how much musical experience you have. She does require a lot of lesson plans and presentations, but they are mostly done in pairs or groups. A recorder is needed for her class. Everyday she has some type of fun activity for the entire class to do. Just a heads up: you will have to sing in front of the class (with a partner) but there's no need to worry because it's just kid songs and it's a very short presentation. I would recommend Mrs. Floyd's class because class is never dull or boring and she is always so full of energy.

Mrs. Floyd requires many lesson plans. They aren't too bad because you get to work in pairs for most of them. You don't want to miss class very often. You do need a recorder- I recommend getting one at the bookstore for $6 rather than buying a really cheap one from Wal Mart because when you play your recorder for your quiz, the cheap ones are not very good. Mrs. Floyd is very understanding and she is quick to email back. I would take her!
