Dr. Branham is a fantastic professor, advisor and mentor. After being out of school for over 7 years she helped me to succeed in her course, and my other courses as well. Her class was difficult because of the amount of (mentally and emotionally heavy) reading and writing required, but the materials for the course are fascinating and full of crucial and impactful information. I didn't want to stop reading. This is my favorite course I've taken thus far. Dr. Branham clearly wanted every student to do their absolute best, and helped each one of us to do so by encouraging each of us to think critically and learn how to best apply what we discussed. Great class, great atmosphere, great discussions and fantastic professor.

I got a C because i thought i could fly through the class easily and just listen. Majority of your points come from talking and participating in class. 3 projects (worth most of your grade as well). extra credit if you go to events related to women's studies outside of class requirement. Shes a really cool teacher, layed back, nice, and hilarious. you'll love her! I recomend your class. and NO it is not just for women. Men will enjoy the class too.

She is a very nice woman but has a dry sense of humor. I felt that she very unapproachable until the last 3 weeks of class. She is willing to help you on alot of things. I just didnt think that I deserved the crappy grade I recieved.

Mrs. Branham is awesome! this class is all discussion but it is a lot of fun! you have a midterm and the final is a paper. you have a group assignment as well toward the end of the semester and a 5-7 page paper in the middle somewhere but the topic choices are easy to write about. You have some readings each class that she rarely quizzes you on. you have discussion questions due as well which arent that bad either. this class is really enjoyable and fun and mrs. branham is a really fun and awesome professor! take her!!

I am actually still taking the class. So far I have a good grade, but I warn you to please take a lot of what she says with a grain of salt. There have been multiple incidents in which she has given out very bad misinformation to the class. I am a woman, and I am open minded, but I am also one for wanting people to be truthful especially when it comes to medical information. One example included when she stated that there was a male vaccine for HPV, which there is no FDA licensed vaccine for men against HPV, also unlike how she made it out to be both men and women suffer symptoms just men's symptoms are generally internal where they are harder to noticed and diagnose especially since a lot of times there is no obviously different sensation involved or overly noticeable visual sign. Also she stated a lot of facts about prehistoric man that can not be proven what so ever regarding life spans and manner of death. She made it sound like most female cave men died of child birth, which more than likely is untrue, and regardless there is not enough evidence in fossils a majority of the time to be able to tell how individual specimens died. I am actually taking an anthropology class right now which is why I know this. So again take everything she says lightly, and not to heart. I am all for feminine rights and equal treatment regardless of skin color, but I want the battles to be won with truth and complete honesty, and not just unverifiable assumptions.

Dr. B is a GREAT instructor. I thuroughly enjoyed her class. The topic was exciting in its own right, but she really brought the class to a level I hadn't anticipated when I signed up. If you want to take a class in which you will learn a lot about society and yourself, I highly, highly recomend taking her.

Dr. Branham was a great teacher. Her class was lots of fun...we talked about lots of different topics. The final was just a short essay about the class. The midterm was very difficult though. Their was also another essay and a group project. The problem with the class was that everything was due at the end of the semester. Their were random quizzes throughout the semester. The class was very easy. I would reccommend taking her if you need an elective and an easy A.
