Jack Thacker is probably the most intellegent history professor ever. He knows EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING. But this DOES NOT mean hes a good teacher. When taking notes he rambles on about every event that happend during that time period. From Napoleons great battles to his ex wives cousins sister and her life also (seriously). This guy metions EVERY DETAIL of everything!! and never pauses to stop; you will never get all of the notes nor know actually whats goin to be on the exam or whats not. He then gives you a study guide with about 200+names and events and about 5 practice essays and expects you to remember all of this. Although only 10 of those names/events are on the exam, you dont know which ones and you have to know the "who, what, when, where, and significance of them" so good luck..And in between those discussions, he never fails to bash the democratic party. He jumps from socialism in england during the 17th century, to blaming obama and our doomed future, to how stupid clinton and biden are- Keep in mind none of this is on tests so he wasting time...Obama wasnt in the white house for 100 days and he blamed him for dooming our future, i guess he forgot about the past 8 years...Overall, if you LOVE history and is willing to sit through this pain and torture- take this class, otherwise stay far away because your guranteed to drop your GPA with this guy....
