I liked that everyday Dr. Carey pulled up the Wall Street Journal at the beginning of class to talk about current economic events. She would say that she thought it was more important to look at current economic happenings related to what we were learning for that class rather than to just go strictly through the book. It helps to learn what the professor is teaching when the material is applied in real life examples.
She gave participation points every once in a while just for being in class since she does not take attendance. Tests were easy and had extra credit.
