Additional Comments |
Dr. Lienesch is a great guy, and he really is interested and passionate about his subject. The only bad thing is this class is completely boring! He reads off of the powerpoint slides (which are available online), and that is the main basis of the class. He requires a few field trips that will take up a couple of your Saturdays, but they actually aren't bad at all. There is one paper you have to do in the class, and the tests are multiple choice.
If you pay attention and you enjoy the subject material, you will do fine. The nice thing is that he offers a couple of bonus points on every test, and you get to drop your lowest test score (out of four). Just study a bit ahead of time, and really memorize all the phyla! And bring some coffee to class too, because this will probably put you to sleep!
