If you want to learn Java on your own this is the teacher for you. Because that is the only way that I have been able to get a grasp on the language this year. Dr. Mostafa definitely knows his stuff, however his thick accent and soft voice is hard follow. Not to mention he only reads off the slides, and when he does try to explain it, good luck because its gibberish. I'd look for someone else if I was you, but he was the only choice for me, making independent studying necessary to pass this class. If you are a CS major, don't plan on getting a great background starting in this class unless you are willing to put in 2X maybe 3X the work at home. I rate this class as Difficult, however with lots of time on your own, it wont be so bad, good luck.
