Additional Comments |
I think Dr. Love is a great professor who really understands the interworkings of the French language. This class was set up in a way that made it easy to learn a lot. We would practice speaking in class and take quizzes weekly with an oral portion to turn in online and a written portion to do in class. We then had to phonetically transcribe a poem and recite it in front of the class as an end-of-semester culminating project. Once you learn the International Phonetic Alphabet (which is not absurdly difficult), the rest of the course is all downhill from there. My French pronunciation was markedly improved by the end of the course.
