Ms. Lowry is overall a really fun teacher. She keeps the class enteretained, but is most of the time pretty scatterbrained because she coaches the debate team as well. If you email her, dont' expect a response back anytime soon. She has good intentions, and grades very easily. The tests aren't hard, because she gives you a study guide. There are four speeches, and they aren't too bad. If you need this class, I would probably recommend her.

She only has a midterm and a final. She makes you write about 4 or 5 speeches but thats about it as far as a graded assignment. she laid back and funny. shes a good professor.

This class could have been murder, but it ended up great. We got to have discussions about the most random stuff (alien hand syndrome? lol) and it was so much fun! She helps coach the speech team here at Western and is really good at making you understand how to write your speeches and how to give them. She's young and fun and can relate to what the students really well. The notes were hilarious to take and I didnt mind going in at 9:35am at all. I totally reccomend this prof.

Dawn is cool. She made the class interesting and could relate well to the "student life" I enjoyed the class and would recommend her for this course.

lowry is a great teacher for those who don't like a lot of work. tests are easy if you even just glance at the given study guide and as long as you smile a lot, speeches go great as well. there are several occasions where she will give you a day off or you will do in class activities that remind me of high school sub days. considering this is a required course, taking lowry is an easy way to knock it out.

She subed for Elder while she was on leave. She taught us nothing and we were screwed when it came to Elder coming back. Dawn was confussing and her notes were overkill and then didn't even go with what we were taught. She made the class suck, but we got out of class early everyday. (I think she didn't know what to teach-classes were about 10min long) Oh, and the notes did not go with anything on the test. I failed it, and so did 90% of the class.
