His understanding and knowledge of subject is nil.
Western should reconsider continuing as professor and i don't understand how they can handover the most important responsibility of conducting comprehensive exams. He changes the pattern as he likes and the portion will be only which he has taught regardless of what other professors teach.

Dr. Emam is the most enjoyable professor I have had in Western's Computer Science department. If you start with his CS 240 class, this class is a breeze. Although sometimes hard to understand, he is very knowledgeable in the subject that he is teaching.
Attendance is mandatory and more than 3 absences will cost you 5% of your final grade. Programming assignments are challenging.
He gives LOTS of extra credit. I attended the class for only half the meetings, missed a test and still pulled a C out of the class with homework and extra credit. Throughout the semester he gives enough extra credit to count as much as a test. These assignments are not free points, though. His extra credit requires a deeper understanding of the topics being studied in order to be completed properly. He will give partial credit for knowledgeable attempts at times.
His tests consist of true/false, multiple choice, and essay/coding. Only 80% of the questions on the test have to be answered for full credit, although he does not allow more than that being answered. He gives you a choice in the tests depending on what areas you might have focused on while studying.
Homework assignments consist of evaluating code behavior and programming.

He is a terrible teacher and he can't teach. If you asked questions he would completely avoid them and keep on rambling. He only went off notes he had received from somewhere else that he didn't even understand. His tests questions on the tests were debatable. There were always more than one answer but of course he didn't think so.
