Mrs. Johnson is awesome. She is young, fun, and not boring.
Attendance is not mandatory, but you recieve 3 points every time you attend.
She gives SO MUCH extra credit opportunity, there is ZERO excuse to fail her class. I pay attention in class, ESPECIALLY TAKE NOTES ON SONGS THAT ARE ON THE LISTENING LIST!!!! I have not studied the material, but rather, studied the listening list and everything about each song. you need to know 2 things about each song, but EVERYTHING else you write down about he song, composer, etc. is extra credit. Dedicate a few hours before each test to learn the songs and there is no reason to fail. Hell, you shouldnt get below a C.
She is willing to help you one on one if you need, provided you attend class and make effort. Overall, she was great

This is still my favorite class yet. I loved Mrs. Johnson. she's a wonderful teacher, and you should definitely have her. she gives packets that are thick, but the questions are word for word on the test. so if you do them and turn them in you get 5 points and know all the test questions. which are multiple choice. the listening part is a little harder, but give yourself time to study and you can get up to 150 points on a test.

If you go to class every day and take the notes, you should have no problem with this class. Trish gives you a study guide for each exam. If you fill it out and memorize the answers, you are good to go. (All of the tests are multiple choice, except for the listening part.) The material isn't all that fascinating, but Trish does a good job making it as painless as possible. If you have to have music appreciation, I would definitely advise taking Trish Johnson for it.

She's OK I guess. I just think that she asks for too much from the gen ed class. You woun't have that much fun in her class but she can help you if you have questions. There are 3 or 4 concert reviews that you'll have to do. She's picky and make sure you understand the "music" otherwise good luck. If there's nobody else outhere that's more leniant about the whole music world, I guess she'll be OK to take.

This class was hard! I didn't like the prof. at first but she is really nice. you can not miss this class because the notes is what she tests you over. i didn't read my book once and i got an A. i didn't buy the Cd's to listen to either i just went to the library once or twice before the tests!! if you know all about the music she tests you over you will have no problem getting a good grade. there are 3 papers you have to write over 3 concerts you have to attend. i had to study really hard to get an A but it is a good class and she is really nice.
