I took this class online and in the Winter term and if I had to choose again, I'd do it the same way! It was an easy online class and everything was well layed out. You'll read and take tests and quizzes, observe, and a few other small asssignments. I wsa scared of this class because I've heard bad things about Whitlock but online she was great! So no regrets!

I had heard so many great things about the course that I was actually really looking forward to it. I thought that PE would be fun and exciting. However, my experience with Mrs. Whitlock was horrible! She is truly one of the worst teachers that I have ever had! I took the course as a summer class and 2 days before our final, we had no idea what our grade was because she refused to post ANY of them. Also, she NEVER checks her email nor does she respond. Her test are horrible and she treats her students as if they are all idiots! Also, we were required to write a 7 page paper and present it to the class in a 12 minute powerpoint presentation. Save yourself and DO NOT take this teacher!!

This class should have been easy but Dr. Whitlock made it difficult. Her instruction was very vague and most of her assignments didn't help us learn, but instead just took up time. She is probably the most unorganized teacher I've ever had. Her tests had questions from chapters we didn't cover, and her final ended up being comphrensive even though she said it was only going to cover 3 chapters. To be honest I don't understand how she is still a college professor.

This class was so much fun, I was kind of scared of professor Whitlock at first but she is so nice. I made so many friends and improved so much. If you go to class and actually try then you will be just fine.

I took Mrs. Whitlock online this semester and I have to say she is very unorganized at this! I found this class difficult because she piles on all of these assignments that are due in a three week time span but only posts the assignment formats a couple of days before they are due. Dont expect her to get back to you in a timely manner if you need help either. But then dont be surprised when she counts off for your assignment being late. You definitely need to buy the book to keep up with the quizzes and tests if you take her online. I felt like she was one of those teachers that wanted you to see things her way and if you didnt you got counted off for it. Be prepared to WORK if you take this online class.

She was a cool teacher until the end of the semester. All throughout the year we didn't know our average grade because she is very unorganized. At the end of the semester my overall grade was a C one point from a B. i emailed her and asked her to regrade one of my papers because i felt the grade was unfair. she refused and she wouldn't give me one point, saying her grading was final... if you have to take this class just be sure to keep up with your own grade (although it will be hard) and try not to turn in anything late because she will assume everything you turn in after that is late.

Dr. Whitlock teaches this course as if we're going to be physical educators. We were required to do 5 teaching episodes, which is where you write a lesson plan and teach it to your peers. She didn't teach much of the textbook material at all, we only made it through chapter 5!!! Instead of teaching us the content, she made us spend the majority of our class time teaching lessons that we most likely will never use again.
She is very picky about how you teach your lesson and will count off for everything. Although she says that she realizes we are not physical educators, she grades as though you are.
If you want her to like you, GO TO CLASS. She's very picky about attendance. Her tests do not make sense at all... they're mostly multiple choice and most every question had at least two correct answers listed.
If you can keep from it, don't take her.

Mrs. Whitlock is very nice, but her grading can get extremely confusing. Also, it is hard to figure out what she wants you to do on assignments (esp. on the lesson plans). She doesn't give you much time to plan lessons either. However, she does make the class a lot of fun, and you will definitley get plenty of exercise if you take this course!! :)

After reading the previous evaluations posted about Ms. Whitlock I was scared to take this class with her. However, I took this course with her anyway during the summer and had no problems with her at all. I thought Ms. Whitlock was very nice and helpful. She was also easy to approach. You will do fine in this class if you do all of your assignments, turn them all in on time, read over the powerpoint notes for the tests, and show up and dress out for every class.

This class was the worst class that I have ever taken at WKU. Mrs. Whitlock is out of touch with how much teachers have to do and in a perfect world, it would be great to devote as much time as she sees fit to PE for our students, but it isn't going to happen. She gives the most boring lecutres that pretty much boil down to one statement, "The goal of all this is to get kids up and get kids moving." If I ever hear her utter those words again, I just might pull my hair out. Her tests are also poorly constructed and worded and even after the majority of our class did bad on a test, she refused to make any adjustments. This class also requires several PE peer teaches, and let me just say this, she barely lets you teach. She will yell suggestions and tell the class how to do something while you are teaching. I HIGHLY suggest taking someone else for this course, I am telling ALL my ELED major friends the same thing.

I found this class very interesting simply because the subject content is based around developing teaching skills, yet Whitlock failed at almost every skill she displayed. Whitlock held class past time, wanted students to wear gym clothing when she supported flip-flops, had the class buy the book when no one had to open it, and showed a lack of knowledge over most material.

Sharon Whitlock looks exactly like Mrs. Huxtaboul on the "Bill Cosby Show." She is a very rude woman who tends to portray an intimidating character. If approached, she'll brush you aside, telling you to see her after class. It is not an easy A, but the exercise is well worth it. She often states the obvious. ("Smoking is bad" kind of stuff.) Also, I think her initial desire in life was to become a peacher, as she so often yells, or preaches her lectures. Boo Mrs. Huxtaboul!

If there is one instructor I can truly say I would ever hate to see again it is Sharon Whitlock. Total b***h. Do not take her for this totally useless waste of time that she calls a class. It is not that it is difficult it is just the fact that she makes it army boot camp quality.

Do not take this class with this professor if you are looking for an easy A. I am one of about five other students in a class of at least 40 that got an A. She takes PE to a whole new level. You must attend class regularly and be good at taking misleading exams. Mrs. Whitlock is a nice lady but her class is too difficult for a 100 level class.

Mrs. Whitlock is an idiot! She has the linguistic ability of a fourth grader. This lady is absolutely the worst teacher I have ever had in my LIFE. I recieved a B in her class, and frankly I am pissed. Her test questions entail opinions, such as; What do you think? What would be one of the first questions? What is something I kind of like to do? Straight up crap like that. This chick has no business teaching. If you've ever wondered why physical education is thought of as the "not so important subject", take this class and that thought will only be solidified.

Sharon Whitlock makes this course a lot harder than it really is. Her tests are too tricky. Everybody I talked to in my class had Cs and Ds on all of the tests. She is also very hard to talk to. On one occasion I was trying to ask her about an assignment and she acted like I wasnt there. Completely ignored me. It was very rude. She is one of those people who can never admit that she made a mistake. I would recommend taking another teacher for this course.

Ms. Whitlock is a great teacher and was very informational. This is a pretty common sense class just be there and get all the worksheet and look over all testbook and make sure you understand the information. You have to observe in a PE class at an Elem. school- but that is fun to watch the kids in a PE environment. (5-10 hours)
