I liked this class a lot. Dr. Woosley is a great teacher, and he tries to make his lectures entertaining. I personally thought the tests were very easy. The questions come straight from notes/lecture. There is no textbook, so you are only responsible for lecture material. Attendance is only mandatory on quiz and exam days. I think he drops the lowest quiz grade also, so if you miss one, it doesn't hurt your grade. He posts all of the grades on Blackboard, so it's easy to keep up with how you're doing in the class. I would definitely recommend taking Woosley for this class.

Dr. Woosley is great. His class is easy as long as you try. The only days that are mandatory to come are quiz and test days. He posts the powerpoints, practice quizzes, and practice tests online. Take his class. Not only is it not very hard, he is really funny too.

Great Class to take! You learn alot about turf not just for golf coarses but also for home lawns and sports fields. Exams are fair and Dr. Woosley will give you a situation to problem solve.

Come to class, pay attention and you will get an A. This was a very easy course for me, mostly because I am very interested in the subject matter. Dr. Woosley gives several opportunities for extra credit and I recommend everyone take advantage of these. For our class, the extra credit points accumulated were used toward a quiz score. Dr. Woosley also drops the lowest quiz score. He is a great instructor. The first day of class he gave great advice on how to get an A in his class. I strongly recommend you do exactly what he says and you will indeed get an A.

He's a powerpoint fanatic! he never really teaches, just goes over the slides and gives examples that only kids who grew up playing golf or raising crops will understand. He gives a quiz a week and one consisted of 2 questions open ended!!!
Be able to memorize facts about plants that you will never need again because that's all he cares about.
And on top of being a terrible teacher, he's perverted!!! He is always picking students and making up these hypothetical stories that embarrass the student just so he can get a laugh. He puts phrases on his powerpoints that sound dirty and then repeats them until you give him the obligatory laugh (example: you need this grass because it makes you balls stay erect...and then after repeating it 3 times laughed and said, you knwo, in golf) He refers to your bf/gf as a "sweet baboo" and that's just weird and he has disgusting and huge sweat pits!

Paul Woosley is the best teacher at WKU. I recommend taking any class of his that you can. His tests are not too hard and he offers a lot of extra credit.
