this lady one of the more bitter people I have ever been around. You are taking two class rolled into one. She expects you to know the book like the back of your hand as she runs through it for 10 minutes, then the rest of the time is spent giving speeches. Don't listen to that B.S. about not doing your outline word for word, the best outline she ever had this semester she passed out to the class to set an example. And guess what it was word for word. I thought your grade was based on your speech, and how well it was delivered, not how well you prepared it.

quickly, run away if there is still time. this teacher is a major pain in the butt, she is just plain rude. her voice can make anybody cringe. belive me there is no grading scale for her speeches, you can give the best speech of your life and make a "D" or do awful and get a "B" it all depends on the mood she is in. Which changes at least three times a class period.

Ms. Hauschen tries to make the class fun. You will learn alot. You MUST attend class, as she does follow the attendance policy. Overall, I would suggest taking her, but expect to work for your A.

i HATE this "teacher". She makes a 100 level class way too difficult. She is condescending to her students even though most of them are close to her age. She should not have even majored in communications because she has the worst valley girl voice ever. Her lectures are straight from the book and she puts you to sleep. I am a straight A student and she gave me my first B. I did missed 3 classes the entire semester and she deducted 15 points off my final grade! TAKE ANOTHER TEACHER IF YOU CAN!

She means well, but she doesn't give you all the information. You will give a speech, miss something, then she will tell you oh, you were supposed to do this. You need to expect to be busy, there are hardly any breaks between the speeches, and she wants the outline for your speech way before you give the speech, which doesn't give you a break. And if you take her be prepared to read, read,and read.
