Dr. Speer is a very knowledgable teacher and you can tell he loves teaching the class. As long as you show up each class period and take notes you should be fine. Youll get along with him as long as you dont do anything to cause him to call you out in the middle of class, because then you see his "dark side." I recommend this class to anybody, because it teaches you about a little bit of everything and especially about being a well informed consumer. He covers both sides to every story and lets you learn how to make non bias opinions about things in the agricultural world.

Dr. Speer is AWESOME!!! He knows so much information about the course and is really interesting to listen to. There are an ample amount of notes in the class each day, but he presents them in a way that is very easy to learn from. He gives quizzes every Friday but the questions come straight from your notes. Also, he only gives 2 exams (which are just as many point as your quizzes) but he pulls the questions straight from the quizzes. The final is almost word for word from the tests and as long as you know the test questions you will ace the class. You do have to study and attend class to do well but it is definitely worth it. The textbook is just a set of class notest that costs around 15 dollars at the beginning of the course. It is recommended but I only looked at mine maybe one or two times this semester. This class was definitely my favorite class this semester and I would HIGHLY recommend him for any Agriculture or Pre-Vet major.

This is the most difficult class I have ever taken in terms of content. Yet, I had an A going into the final. Dr Speer makes the class fun, and enjoyable. He reviews the material like no professor I have ever seen. He makes old tests avaliable so you can use those as study tools. He makes the G component as simple as possible. For the subject, he made it a very enjoyable class. The subject is hard, there is no denying that.

If you hate TF your deffinelty not gonna enjoy his tests. But he will work with you to make sure that you understand/do well in the class. For a math based class he makes it intersting and almost fun.
Great teacher to take this type of class.

This class is fun and easy. The agriculture teachers are really laid back and the class is only a minimum work load.
