Additional Comments |
Dr. Strow is a FANTASTIC teacher. He really knows his stuff, and he relates everything to the class really well. The information he covers can be somewhat boring, but he has a very entertaining personality that seems to make everything somewhat interesting. Attendance isn't required, but most days I actually looked forward to going to his class.
The only downside of this class is the Economist articles you have to read. He assigns 5 per week. They're usually extremely boring, and I couldn't remember what I read right after I finished reading them. However, you could easily pull an A without bothering with the Economist if you do well on all the other test questions--it's just the chance you take.
There are five tests in the class. Each have 17 multiple choice questions (3 Economist article questions), around 10 fill in the blank, and a few short answer/problem solving. If you study your notes and pay attention in class--you should have no problem.
I highly recommend Dr. Strow for any Econ. class. I may even change my minor to Econ. just so I can take him again.
