Dr. Russell is a good teacher! you are required to take 10 of the 14 offered weekly quizes - there are no exams. You have to write 8 2-page papers over various religions and are required to visit one Christian and one non-Christian service.

Good couse on the basics... Lecture based - follow along with him as he covers the board with ideas- not hard to follow but it is not a structured outliine. Quiz every class period over what was discussed the week before... I read over the material for about 20 minutes before class and usually get 19/20 on the quiz. Two visits are required to different religious communities and you must write papers on these visits - due anytime before the last day of class. Eight journal entries of your reaction to different religions also due by last day of class.

Very informative class. Choice of long term paper of visit to Hindu Temple in Nashville and short reaction paper about it. Interaction and group study of Hindu scripture.
