Dr. Williams is THE WORST teacher I have had at Western. I have never taken a class where I felt more stupid. My class was put into the situation where we were placed with seniors. The junior class was made to feel inferior everytime we went to class. She would barely acknowlege that we were there. This is the first class that I have taken at Western where I felt distanced from the class, the juniors had no say at all!!! Her test are the worst!!!! I cannot even begin to tell you how bad her tests are!! On each question there were at least 2 answers that were perfectly correct, BUT you had to pick what she was thinking and that's not always easy. For example, for our second test, I paid a lot of attention to what she said and I wrote down everything I could. Then when I went back over my notes, she had said one thing that you should do in a situation, then said another. THEN she put BOTH on the test and expected us to choose. She doesn't curve, and no matter if everyone missed the same question, she still won't give you the question. When you ask her to explain the question and why one answer is correct but not the other, all she says is "this is what you would do." She pushes you to buy her program, but don't! It doesn't help, don't waste your money. She will not help you out with any of the material, even if you stop by her office. I honestly don't know how I got an A out of that class!! I understand that nursing school is difficult, but there is no reason for a teacher to try to fail every student that walks in the classroom. I am really upset that a school like Western would keep a teacher that gets so many terrible evaluations. I know that nursing instructors are difficult to find but they need to do something. The best advice I can give you is to take good notes, write down everything she says even the little things, and study your notes over and over again, and don't get too stressed out. No one does well in her class.
