I took this as a web course. The class itself is really easy. You have to post things on the discussion board once a week, answering questions she gives you that cover chapters in the textbook. You have two journals you have to submit. Each journal consists of 15 book reports covering different genres for 30 book reports total. You have an annotated thematic bibliography to write as well. It sounds hard but it is not, just time consuming. There are two online quizzes. The only bad thing is that Ms. Rice is not very helpful. She takes FOREVER to respond to an email you send her, so if you have a question about an assignment you better ask her atleast two weeks before it is due. Overall, easy class.

I would not take any other teacher than Lisa Rice for this course. Compared to the other teachers, this class requires a lot less work. That is what I think counts the most. You have to do 2 book talks, fiction and non fiction. Very easy...A if you just get up and do them pretty much. Also have to do an annotated bibliography of like 20 books I believe and a 1 page paper on five award winning books. There are like 3 quizzes which she tells you what will be on them. I got an A and I never even bought a book. This is an overall fun class! Extremely easy! Highly Recommended!

This class was excellent. Ms. Rice's enthusiasm in teaching class made me actually want to read! There are no tests and only a few quizzes, but they were very easy. I STRONGLY recommend anyone to take Ms. Rice for this class! I even ENJOYED going to this class!!!
