Yes, Capt. Hackett is an asshole but is an asshole that cares. Listen attentively and you will do well at camp. He is very approachable about problems outside of class. He is also one hell of a flag football player.

The instructor is an asshole, but if you want to be ontop of the OML, ALL you have to do is score 280 or above on your PT test. Nothing more. The instructor is a ranger, and of course </sarcasm on> we all know that PT scores are the end all and be all of being a good officer. </sarcasm off> Anyways, he is a good infantry role model, and he will help you score high at advanced camp, but if you are a low PT scorer, get ready to get treated like pond scum.

Hackett is an asshole, pure and simple. Don't take this class if you can't handle a high amount of shit from him. However, he is very good at the subject material, and is good at motivating you in a Drill Sergeant way.
