The class is a very mundane class, she speaks in monotone and attendence is mandatory to recieve the slides for that day. the quizzes and tests are pulled from the powerpoints so there is no reason to buy the book. her grading scale makes it easy for anyone to get an A (pretty much if your in the 82 range you have an A). my advice, take her for an easy A, go to class and bring your laptop to play on or you'll fall asleep, but you still get the notes!

This was an easy class, I never studied and I got A's on most assignments. The only thing about her is she is uptight and the class was very boring. She has notes on powerpoint and she emails them after class, so you don't really have to read from the book (even though she is very strict about this and insists that you do it.) I felt that the book was a waste of money because the powerpoints and lecture come straight from it. The tests are pretty much common sense.

This class was very easy. Though all we did was go to class and listen to her read off powerpoint slides. It was very long and boring. The exams were very easy as well. Just read the text and the powerpoint slides that she emails you. The only nit-pick that I have is that she got our grades in late, past the required deadline for the university.

Damayanti Banerjee is the worst professor I have had in college thus far. She talks about how educated she is, and her paper she wrote about rural life or whatever all of the time. She also flipped out at the end of the semester about no one showing up to class, (she didnt have a attendance policy) and then decided she would make it mandatory to be in class with 2 weeks of class left. Also, she turns the lights off and reads straight off of her power points in her annoying voice, which leads you to tune her out and go straight to sleep. Her tests are hard if you do not study and the book is impossible to read (but better than her lectures). She also changed her exam style on us at the end of the semester and made it all ESSAY, that had to be 2 or 3 pages long for each answer. Her final is take home, that is the only good thing.
