This class was a very very early 8 am class with no working elevator. Why they couldn't have done work on the elevator during the summer, we will never know.
Anyway, that aside, this class is hard. Lots of really really bad grades I heard. I remember seeing on blackboard that the class average final was a 73 I think. Granted, a lot of people seemed VERY lazy and didn't do the work and wiley plus. There were always at least 2 people that came in around 8:25-8:40. What is the point of coming to class?
You are allowed to miss 8 times (MWF class), before she starts taking points off. I would advise not missing at all. This class is the autobahn, she doesn't slow down. The tests are hard. Do the multiple choice problems on the companion website and you can get an edge up.
Don't slack off. It will hurt you in this class.
If you aren't a slacker, and can study sufficiently, take this teacher. It is extremely fun and you learn a lot!

I am taking ACC 200 with her at the present time and she is a great teacher, she tries to see everybody's personality and help them. She covers only material needed for this class and tells exactly what to study even for tests.

Insanely hard class that should not be so difficult. Notes were overkill, but align yourself up with a study partner in order to pass the class with a good grade. This was my lowest grade.

I thought Mrs. Henson was a good pofessor. She is usually always available for help, really cares about her students, and sometimes maybe over explains things but she made accounting easy for me. I had her for 200 &201 and made As. We had 4 tests and a final also there was online homework each week on Connect. This is definitely not a class to slack in i found that out real quick but Mrs. Henson really cares and will try her best to help you. Definitely take her!!

Mrs. Henson is a wonderful teacher and really takes her time to make sure you know the material. She is always giving out assignments that, if you do them, will really help you out on the test and many quizzes you have. She usually uses the same problems and just changes around the numbers and such. I am not saying this class is easy but Mrs. Henson makes the class feel much less daunting then it really is. TAKE HER, and Good luck!

This class is alot harder than Acct 200. She is a decent teacher and she is really organised but she annoyed the crap out of me. You can only miss 8 times before there is penalty, it sounds like alot but when you actually have her you will want to skip too. The final is department wide and it is soooo hard. It is completely cumulative, all material from before. nothing is missing from the final. She also does not accept any late work and gives pop quizzes in class.

Ms. Henson is awesome. She is really excited about teaching and that is what she loves. She goes above and beyond to help students and constantly tries to make it easier for the students. She always has helpful review sessions before each test. There are 5 exams and a cumulative final at the end that all accounting students take. I would defintely take her again. She is awesome at teaching and you can talk to her anytime.

Show up to class, review notes for tests. Enjoyable teacher, allows help whenever you need it. Really cares about her students. Allows numerous extra credit opportunities. Final was pretty easy, with 40% of it being a scavenger hunt around campus. We had multiple guest speakers from all around campus and a couple previous WKU students. Enjoyable class.

Dr. Henson is a good teacher. She knows what she talks about and what you need to do. She's nice and caring and always happy if you have questions or you need help. Sometimes I feel like she treats us like kids and she is the always-worried mom and always needs to remind us of what to do, what need to be turned in and so on. This is not a tough class. Be sure you go to class, have the book, and do on the assignments on Homework manager (which usually took me less than 20m to finish). There are about 3 exams and 1 comprehensive final (the final is with the whole department), there are also points for quizzes, in-class practices and homework manager things.

She is a very sweet woman and she really cares about her students understanding the material. She will stay with you after class if you need extra help. She explains everything very well, but asks a lot of obvious questions. She asks things like: What is the answer to 2+2? Is it 3???? Is it 5???? or is it 4? I mean not math questions, but like she says it so the answer is kinda obvious, and she asks he same questions throughout the week. BUT it does reinforce it into your head even if it is kinda annoying. She never curves grades, so you should definitely study.

There is only one problem with this class, Mrs. Henson talks to you like you are in 4th grade. No seriously, she actually asked one class, "If you subtract 10,000 from 100,000, you get 90,000. Now, if you need to double check this, what could you add back to 90,000 to get 100,000?" At this point, I had to hide my face from laughing. Anyway, the class itself is a complete joke and incredible easy. It's just like ACCT 200, just do practice problems before exams to review and you'll be fine.

If you struggled in Accounting 200 and realize that Accounting just isn't your thing, I definitely recommend taking Henson. She presents the information in a very clear, organized manner that makes things easy to follow.
The exams usually consist of about 10-15 multiple choice questions and 2-3 comprehensive problems. The problems are usually the easiest if you study the steps. The multiple choice can be tricky, but she always make it to where you can miss one or two without losing any points.
While I do think you should take Henson if you have trouble with Accounting, I would not recommend her to students who feel confident in this area. The reason I believe the class was so easy is because she teaches you like you're in fourth grade. Her tone and questions she asked in class sometimes were very frustrating to me. Trust me. If you are good at accounting, take a college class. Don't go back to fourth grade with Henson.

Sweet teacher, wants to help. Provides PLENTY of extra credit opportunities. Show up to class, do a little review of the notes for tests and you will be fine. Tests take about 5-10 minutes. Our final this year was a scavanger hunt around campus. We had many business-related speakers come and talk to our class. Enjoyable teacher, easy class.

I had Henson for ACCT 200 and breezed through it with out any problems. If you dont understand something she will explain it to you. If you still don't understand she encourages students to come to her office for more help. If you dont understand the material its not becasue she hasnt gave you an opportunity to learn it. There is always an extra credit question on the exams and she gives extra homework assignments to give you a chance to catch up on missed ones. Her test are very fair and there are no suprises. She give a good review before every exam. The final is comprehensive but that is department policy. There is nothing she can do about that. I currently have her for 201 and I highly reccomend her for that course as well. She is an excelent teacher and a very caring person.

Mrs. Henson takes a difficult subject and makes it easier to understand. I also had her for Accounting 200 and I really like and comprehend her teaching style. There are 5 tests throughout the course. Accounting chapters are in depth so having more tests means that there is less material so you can focus on just a couple chapters at a time. I would highly recommend taking Mrs. Henson for any accounting class.

Mrs. Henson is very good teacher. She is always willing to help students whenever they need it. Always replys quickly to email questions as well. She does give homework assignments before she covers the material in class because it helps for students to attempt the problems before class so they can get a better grasp of the material when she covers it. She will check homework sometimes, just to make sure you have attempted. She gives students several opportunities to improve their grade throughout the semester.

Even though the highlights of this course and proffessor seem difficult, Sheri Henson was an excellent teacher, and even though she moved quickly through the material, she explained it thouroghly and will help in any way. The material will be hard no matter what teacher you take, but if you take it with Henson, it will be much easier to understand.

Aside from getting to miss 8 days, it's not that bad of a class. The whole class period is doing different problems. She explains everything very easily but watch out on your test. It's like a whole nother teacher made the test. You will have to study, but what do you expect? I think she is probably one of the easier accounting teachers. I really recommend taking her. She has such a happy personality.

What can I say? Mrs. Henson is the best accounting professor and probably the best professor I have ever had at WKU. She cares about her students and works hard to make sure everyone understands the material. If your taking 201 and have Aldridge or Little god be with you cause they don't seem to care as much and their tests are harder... She is the best teacher to take for this course. She's a sweetheart and she covers the information thoroughly. I only got the B because I missed several classes. But if you go to every class and just pay attention to what she focuses on, it's an easy A. The final is cumulative (over 12 chapters) so make sure to study hard...but it too is easy if you just pay attention. You will be glad you took Ms. Henson - I guarantee it!

Accounting is not an easy class but Mrs Henson is definatly the way to go. She is by far one of the nicest people i have ever met. I found this class to be extremely hard! Mrs Henson isn'ty a good teacher. She is an accountant & expects you to know all about accounting terms and stuff when you get to class. She goes very fast and doesn't ask for questions. I stayed after to talk to her & she made me feel very dumb. I would not take her!

This class is significantly more difficult than ACCT 200! This is especially true when it is crammed into a five-week summer course. Prof. Henson does a good job teaching the class. I highly recommend her! She really wants each student to do their best and gives several opportunities to earn credit. During the course we had three exams plus a cumulative final (the same final is given to all ACCT 201 students). We also had 75 points that were given for homework checks and quizzes. It was fairly easy to achieve these points if you showed up to class on time. The class does require a lot of work outside of class. It is necessary to do the homework to understand the material. If you have to take ACCT 201, take it with Prof. Henson! She's a wonderful professor!

Accounting 200 is a very hard class, but she does what she can to make it easier on you. She does give extra credit and mini quizzes to bump up your grade. I definately reccommend taking her class. Be sure to sit in the front and at least act like you are paying attention... she will be much nicer on you and yoru grade if she knows you!

She takes doesn't check homework very much and when she does she USUALLY give warning about it. You don't really HAVE to go to class but it really helps and if you slack off to much it can get really overwhelming b/c everthing builds on itself. She definatly the beest teacher to get.. study guides, need to study for tests and be familiar with EVERYTHING covered in class.

For an accounting class, this one is alright. Henson is real cool, she will work with you and her workload isn't that bad at all. She has good review over her tests. As long as you stay on top of things and come to class most of the time, you will be fine.

Mrs. Henson is a new professor, but she is learning. Once the semester gets going her teaching gets better. So be nice and give her a chance.
