Additional Comments |
Dr. Goetting is a very passionate teacher. She is a little spacy at times, but she more than makes up for it with her interesting classes. Your grade consists of three tests (including the final, which is not comprehensive), a fear journal--we really learned a lot--and a self-evaluation. She teaches this class from a very feminist perspective, so you should go into the class with a very open mind. Males would be encouraged to take this class, because it's usually mainly women, and the male point of view would be appreciated in discussions. If you have perfect attendance, she'll give you 2 points on your final grade, but I think that's the extent of her attendance policy. Just don't miss too much. There's lots of thought-provoking videos and she lectures mostly. She encourages discussion, so keep that in mind as well. I highly recommend this class; I learned so much!
