There are no tests in this class, as in any Junior English class. There were readings for most days and every day you get into a circle or small groups, or both, and discuss the reading. That got pretty boring, especially since no one really had anything to say and Dr. Green was really struggling to get people to talk, other than one or two people, and her of course. There are four papers in this class, including a research paper. I didn't think they were too hard, and I got an A on all of them, but others in the class found them difficult. There were writing workshops for each paper, and in the case of the research paper, numerous workshops. The final was a portfolio of the three short essays that we wrote (3 to 4 pages each). Dr. Green is always available and willing to help you, provided you come with questions, and aren't just expecting her to tell you what to do. It seems that at times she has problems communicating with her students and that can be quite awkward. But, this class was pretty easy for me, and I actually learned a lot about current issues. I recommend this class.
