Dr. Gelderman is a very intelligent man, but he is not a very helpful instructor. I am sure that he could publish his research and become highly respected in his field, but he is not an incredible professor. He talks about hobbits and Star Trek in class when he could be talking about his subject. He is caring because he offers countless extra credit opportunities for his students, but he needs to offer these assignments. All of his tests are multiple choice, and he did not offer a study guide for his final. Also, he does not answer class questions in a timely manner. Good luck getting an email reply from him! I recommend taking another professor for this subject. Gelderman entertains his students, but he should informing them about the subject matter that they paid for.
