This guy is ridiculously dull. I'm a good student and I studied forever and I still failed his exam. Apparently last semester his tests were "too easy" but now they're awful. Take someone else if you can but I think he might be transferring to another school anyway. Peace out jackass... you're a terrible teacher :)

I found Dr. Winburn's class to be both easy and boring. You don't have to take many notes because he puts all of his powerpoints on blackboard. Also for his tests, all you have to do is study all of the information on the review he gives you because that's exactly what will be on his tests and nothing else. He switches his test format every semester and I was the great lucky one to get stuck with him on an essay test semester. He does grade difficult, but fair on his test and if he gives essays, you have to know your stuff. Overall, his tests are easy if you study the review. He also gives a government project where you have to go to a city commisioner meeting and write a short paper about it. You also have to do a paper on a policy debate issue. It's about 3-5 pages, so it's not that hard. He requires attendance, but you can miss up to 6 times without him counting off on your grade. I would suggest waiting until the last few weeks of his class to use up those absences because that's when you don't want to go to class anymore, especially Dr. Winburn's because it's so boring. But if you want an easy A, Dr. Winburn is the way to go.

Mr. Winburn is a teacher who knows his subject as well as you could ever expect anyone to know their subject. He has worked in his field and at a relatively young age come back to teach. He posts his powerpoint slides on blackboard for you and as long as you attend most of the classes they will be all you need to study for the test. He does require 2 papers but they are pretty easy like his tests if you pay attention in class.

Everyone, like, says he's "cool." And he is. Joe Cool. A.K.A., Mr. Snoopy. Yeah, that's right. I'm serious. When the sun hits his face a certain way, and from a certain distance, you're like, "whoa, where's Woodstock?"
Seriously, though, he tries hard (like, well, ummm, Snoopy) and he means well (like, you know). And I'm gonna take his class again, probably. But he better not try to take the football away from me when I try to kick it. That was lame, I know. The football thing is a dumb reference to Lucy, not Snoopy. Sorry.

Dr.Winburn is a cool guy who seems to be interested in teaching (he is young), but he is just boring. He has power point slides that he lectures off of, but he will rarely venture from the slide. The tests arent that bad at all; just do the study guide that he posts and you will be fine. There are two papers that you must write, but they do not take that long to finish. He also offered bonus points for doing an extra paper the last week of class. All in all, the class was ok. It consists of general concepts that a lot of people learn in high school.

Winburn is a really cool guy, but he's not a very good teacher. The man stutters his whole lecture, and it is impossible to concentrate because he lectures off powerpiont every single class. His tests are pretty easy, and you have to write two papers for the class. It's not difficult, just boring...

Winburn is a cool teacher. He uses blackboard and has all his lecture notes on there. His tests are kinda hard but they arent that bad. You also have to write two memo papers that take about an hour to write. All-in-all WInburn is a cool teacher and i loved his class

Dr. Winburn loves to use powerpoint for his lectures, if you print them off and use them in class then there really is no need to take notes. He says that attendance is mandatory but I hardly went to class and still made a B. His tests are on scantron so they're mainly multiple choice but you also have to use a bluebook for a few short answer questions. Overall this is a good class if your wanting to fill a Gen Ed requirement.

Mr. Winburn is a nice guy...young eager to teach...however I hate this subject and he didn't really give me a reason to go to class other than attendance is 20% of your final grade! You have 3 tests, 1 paper, and attendance to equal your final grade...his tests are on scan tron and there are some IDs you have to fill out...but overall I would reccomend it to most people that enjoy government...
