Ms.Prante's class is very easy. She provides all of the notes for you. But you may need to add to those notes. Her tests aren't the easiest in the world, but they are pretty stress-relieving. She loads you up with nothing, but extra credit. She puts extra questions on the quizzes and tests for extra credit. If you turn in assigments early, which take no longer than ten minutes, you can earn up to 4.5 bonus points/assignment. The only thing is she talks and talks and talks and tells these pointless jokes that she knows are pointless. But overall, she's a stress reliever.

Dr. Prante basically reads from her notes. You study from previous tests and learn nothing while in class. She gives tons of extra credit so it isn't hard to get a decent grade but the class is extremly boring and a waste of time.

Let's get this out of the way... Dr. Prante is a little on the crazy side. (Most profs are anyway) She is easy to understand and get along with and is really willing to help you with anything. This class could be the easiest I've ever taken- college and high school included. If you want a super easy GenEd science out of the way, this is the way to go. There is so much extra credit available- if you read over her old tests and study a little, you'll have so many points you won't have to take the final. I was a little lazy and never got an old test or studied, but I still only needed 30 points out of the 150 point final to get an A. I'd recommend Dr. Prante and this class if you need an easy 3 hours.

Dr. Prante is a little on the weird side, but the class is a breeze. She gives you her notes, word for word, and you are ecouraged by her to get past test and quizes from the library. Tons of extra credit is offered. Don't buy the book, I never opened it. This class is easy, but I didn't learn anything.

Mary Prante is a really good teacher. She teaches in a way that you can actually learn the material. There are plenty of extra credit opportunities avaliable so take adavantage of them. It is possible that by the end of the semester that you will have enough points where you may not even have to take the final.

THIS CLASS IS A MUST!!! Mary Prante is quite a remeberable character. She is so goofy, I wrote a quote from her everyday. One of my favorite:"And that was the symester I was dreaming in Russian!" She crams extra credit down your throat. At midterm, I had like 123% in the class. You must go to helm's reserve desk and get her old test. She uses the same questions. The book is "required" but you really don't need it as much as she says you do. DON"T GET IT!!!! And I have so much extra credit, I won't even have to take the final!

This class was simple. You get to print off the notes, which is a plus. The tests are always Scantron, and there is an insane amount of extra credit. The extra credit makes this class easy as long as you do the work on time. Dr "P" as she calls herself, though, is crazy and proud of it. The class is a bore, and her talking will probably drive you up the wall.

I think that Dr. Prante is a nice woman, however, I did not enjoy her class this semester. I have heard many brag on her, but I found the class to be extremely boring. As an intro class, I did not know anything about Geography, and she treated the course as if it was a review of material we should already know. She gives many extra credit points, and you think you're way ahead with your points but when it gets to the end if you haven't done really well on the HARD tests then you don't have as many points as you thought. I would recommend Dr. Prante if you already know about Geography and are REALLY interested in it. If you're just taking if for Gen Ed, try someone else.

She gives you the notes online, all you have to do is print them out and she goes over them in class. All the class consists of is tests and quizzes. You also have computer projects which are extremely easy and if you turn them in early you get extra credit. It's not a bad class, its just kind of boring, and she likes to laugh at her own jokes, which never make any sense to me at all.

Dr. Prante is one of the best teachers I have had. She is so funny, and makes learning about Geography fun! She gives you a bunch of extra credit points, and gives you the notes to her class. I recommend taking her. She gets a little side-tracked sometimes, but I really enjoyed that class.

This is an easy class! Get the tests from someone who took the class previously. They are mainly the same questions. (If you don't know someone who had this class, go to the library and ask for old tests.) She gives 10 easy "finish the sentence" computer projects. Turn them in early for lots of extra credit points! (They only help your grade.) She offers so many extra credit points, anyone could pass. She also gives 5 quizzes and I think 4 tests, including final. Athletes and Debators: Be aware. You can't make up quizzes. But the extra credit opportunities should make up for it.

Dr. Prante teaches a course that is not very interesting, but she makes it possible for students to do well in her class. I am glad that she gives the computer projects because they help to add points to your grade. Try to get copies of her old tests and study them. Actually, she tries to give students a chance to do well in this class, but you have to put forth a little effort. I would recommend her for this class.

If you like rude, incoherent professors who are knowlegable in their field of study, but don't know how to teach--take Dr. Prante. She'll ramble on and on about something and never say what the something is! I only understood about 10% of what came out of her mouth. She makes you do 10 computer projects that are a complete waste of time and you have to buy 2 books that are a complete waste of money. The only thing this class did for me was lower my GPA and fill me with RAGE! You have been warned!

Dr. Prante is a good person, but this semester did not seem to care about her students. It took the entire semester minus 3 weeks to get the projects back. I really think the class would be enjoyable if you knew how well you were progressing. The projects (13 of them) were all given back the last day of class, expect the first two. Expect an A, even if the work is not A material. That's just the way it is. The course requires work, but I did not find it benefical. Dr. Prante is not the greatest professor and does not even come close. As she mentioned in a previous comment all the best professors change the course from semester to semester -- she does not. She had the material in college and that is the same work she gives you. One more thing, exams -- our class was to have a midterm and final. Everyone was given full credit for the midterm without taking the exam (75 points). The final was an essay question,

Dr. Prante gives you all the material that you need to make an A in the course. There is no reason that a person can't get an A in her class. Some people don't her, but GROW UP you won't like everyone in life. She is a very caring person that will help you in any way. She gives tons of extra credit in the course and provides her students with the opportunity to view previous exams (on reserve at the circulation desk in Cravens). Need an A and have determination and dedication? This class would be a benefit for you, even in the May session (when I took it). Good Luck and congratulation to Dr. Prante.
