She is a great professor who doesnt like to make your class difficult. She gives you the work and lets you leave. She explains everything to the best of her ability and is always there to help when you ask. There are 4 papers in her class and one is a ten page research paper that isnt as bad as it sounds. The research paper is worth a lot of points but she will help she is wonderful.

Ms. Stewart lets class out very early every single time. The only thing you do is write essays. If you write as much as she tells you to write, you'll be fine. Very easy class.

I have heard horror stories from fellow students about taking English 300, so I was kind of uneasy going into this course. I just have to say that Carrie made me feel a lot better. She is a young part-time instructor who is going to school to get her PhD, so the level of difficulty in her class is nonexistent. You have several papers and journals to do for her class and your final research paper that has to be at least 10 pages. There are no tests or quizzes though, which makes this class so nice. I took this course as a night class, which I would suggest doing. The most Carrie made us stay was an hour. Her motto was if we went over the notes and turned in the weekly assingments, we could get finished quicker and go home faster. I suggest taking her, especially if you are not great at English to make an easy A.

First of all, you dont have a final in this class. All you do is write papers, which arent that hard. She is a very nice person, very funny, and makes everything short and sweet. I had her for a night class on Wednesdays and we never stayed in there longer than 6:45. She comes in, gives a few notes, goes over the homework for next time (usually a journal entry where you practice writing), you turn in papers and then leave. And when you have just finished a rough draft, the next class period you just peer review and then leave. She also gives you extra credit just for attending a campus speaker or event. I would definately take her again!

I could not disagree more with the students who gave Ms. Stewart bad reviews. She is an extremely laid back professor and the best to take for an English class. She reads through your papers and provides lots of feedback, but grades fairly easy. I had her for 200 and am currently taking her for 300. It's my easiest class and she never keeps us for over an hour ( i have it as a night class). There are never any tests/exams. In 200 there are extremely easy quizzes over the ready. Take Ms. Stewart, it will boost your GPA!!

Carrie Stewart is one of the coolest laid back teachers I have had so far at Western. You do for out of class papers and four in class eassy. She gives you an oral test each week over what you have read for homework. As long as you do your best you'll pass her class with no problems.

Ms. Stewart was a good teacher. She was helpful and helped me improve my writing skills. For that I am greatful. She expects you to work, and share your opinions in class. In fact, the funest part of the class was when we had class discussions! I would recommend taking her and I plan to take her for any other class I can!

Easy grade, but not worth it. Class was boring as hell. Take it with someone that has a personality.

Ms. Stewart was an awesome teacher. I had her for English 100 and it was a super easy class. 98% of the time we were out extremely early! This was great because there were other things I had to do as well! She will help you in any way she possibly can!! You had no tests and your final was your exit portfolio. I am going to take her for English 200 as well!!

Most freshman could do a better job of teaching this class. Will fail you if you don't at least pretend to agree with her on everything. Very boring, I learned nothing.
