Additional Comments |
David Gibson brings a much needed breath of culture to Bowling Green. He is sincerely interested in explaining music at a level everyone can appreciate. His stories about doing productions around Europe are pretty fascinating, and to top it all off, he is a genuinely nice guy.
It isnt a matter of whether attendance is manditory or not, but rather that, with the relaxed atmosphere he presents, you'll find yourself wanting to go to class just for an hour of calm. As with any Music appreciation course, however, you really take what you want to from it, and could easily get an A without looking in to any of the composers very much... but the best thing about Professor Gibson is that he might just make you want to delve a bit deeper. Highly recommended.
