This is a very frustrating course. Dr. Mohamed is a nice man, but he does not put effort into teaching this class. The lectures are posted online, and are moderatley helpful at best. The principals covered could be useful, but they are presented in a way that makes them feel completely irrelevant. I would not recomend this course to any students at WKU until it is drastically imporved.

Exceptional class. There were 5 assignments (Inc. the assessment). He was very fair, and he gives you the first week off, then it takes you two weeks tops to complete the other assignments.

Terrible teacher. I took this class online and he was not involved at all. Even had to go to the Dean on him. Do not take this Professor.

Wow, this professor is terrible. Take someone else. He's suppose to be the head of the department, which just shocks me to the bone. This class was an on-line course, and he put no effort into it whatsoever. I recommend buying the book b/c it will greatly help you out when working the homework assignments and save you from having to listen to his incredibly boring on-line lectures. Also the grading was very inconsistent and took about 2 weeks to receive. Although Mohamed didn't actually grade anything, he had an assistant to it. Apparently grading would just take up too much of his precious time. Me and friend always worked on the homework assignments together and we rarely received the same grade. Anyway, my advice is just to stay away.

So let me add to all the other very true, negative comments about this useless "teacher". Obviously he is foreign, which makes an online class infinitely harder. His ability to communicate effectively is poor at best and obscenely laughable at worst. He doesn't even grade his homework (and only teaches two classes) which causes huge discrepancies on consistency. It also takes over two weeks (rough average) to get grades back. The bloody bastard even made us take tests on Fridays from 8pm-9:30pm. Yes, 8pm-9:30pm. His reasoning was that there were no night classes on Friday so we would all be free. If you take this class, make sure you have a friend in it as well otherwise you're screwed.

This class is only offered online now....it needs to be taught in a class room. Dr. M is very hard to understand in his online lectures. He doesn't have time to teach this course and the test are on Friday nights at 8:00pm for 1 1/2 hours. Our final is Friday night of finals week, which sucks. Overall this class sucks but it's required, I suggest finding some study buddies and trying to help each other figure out the homework problems, just don't do them together and turn in the exact same thing, he'll accuse you of cheating.

Definately ask for multiple choice on the exams...he takes the questions straight from the review at the end of the chapter.
You MUST go to class...he takes attendance (most) everyday, and uses that to determine extra credit points at the end.
Even if you don't know how to do the homework, do SOMETHING and turn it in...he gives partial credit just for trying.
He is kind of hard to understand, but if you actually listen, you will get it. This is not the class for you if you want to go in there and surf the internet...if you don't listen to the instructions, you will fail. This is not a common sense class...it all doesn't just come to you because you have ever used excel before. Definately a good idea to have had CIS 343 before you try to take this.

Great professor!!!! Dr. Mohamed is very liberal, professional, and helpful. Some complain they have hard time understanding him. Don't be afraid to ask again then!!! Sometimes I have harder time understanding what the local profs. with Kentucky accent have to say!

Dr. Mohamed obviously knows what he's talking about, when you can make out what he's saying. It sounds harsh, but he doesn't speak English well AT ALL!! Prepare to use the book A LOT in order to know how to do things.

He explains nothing in class. The exams are hard and you must read the text very carefully to answer the questions on the test. I don't recommend him.
