This professor is HORRIBLE!!! She NEVER responds to emails and NEVER provides feedback for your papers! Save yourself the trouble and take someone else if you can get into another class. That was the trouble I had, this was the only class I could get into. It was an online course, so I expected the professor to get back to me in a timely manner. Boy was I wrong. I had to call her on 2 occasions because she had the wrong articles down for us to do a discussion board on. She had the 9th edition text and we had the 10th edition. When I called her, the attitude I pretty much got was "Look it up on your own, I have a different book." She takes FOREVER to grade things and doesn't provide any reasoning for her grade at all!

DO NOT TAKE HER! She is horrible, does NOT reply to emails, and takes too long to grade! Save yourself the trouble and take another professor!

Overall, this class was not that bad. You have discussion board assignments every week, which were not hard. Then you had a quiz every week, which were not hard either, but she grades tough and will not respond to why you got the grade you did. The answers for the quizzes are in the textbook, which is the ONLY time I used the text (once a week), so it is stupid you buy the book, but you need it to do the quiz. The good thing about this class was you only had one paper to write!

Final was taken nearly three weeks ago, and she has yet to post our final grade...this was the case the entire semester. She doesnt post grades on quizzes or papers until the very last minute...I had a hard time reaching her through e-mail..which is the only way to reach a professor with an online course?! Her grading is tough, and she is not very helpful...take someone else.

Do not take this professor. It has been 2 1/2 weeks since our final and she still has yet to post our grades...This was the case the entire semester. She evidentally waits until the last minute to look over work and post grades. I had no idea what my grade was, or any idea of how I was doing in the class. She is unprofessional and lazy, and doesn't respond well to questions. Take someone else!

This class was a lot more difficult than it had to be. Mrs. Jones grades hard and is very picky. What frustrated me most of all was the fact that she procrastinates on grading your quizzes/papers, and responding to questions. Whatever you do, don't bother posting anything in the "General Questions" area on blackboard...she won't respond. You're more likely to get a response through e-mail..although I had problems reaching her there as well. I would recommend taking someone else..

I took the online course, simple. There are weekly directions with discussion boards and research responses. Other than that is a outline, rough draft and final paper.. Not much work, I made a A with no effort. SHe is great with responding to questions in a timely manner. Take Tracie Jones, you wont regret it!

ONLINE CLASS, GREAT INSTRUCTOR WORKS WITH EACH STUDENT THEN TELLS YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO IMPROVE ON!! GREAT PICK IF YOU WANT A GREAT TEACHER!!

This class was a lot more difficult than other Eng 300 classes. She is really nice, but grades very hard. If you can, take someone else.

This online course was very difficult. There are easier teachers to take for English 300.

I took this class on the web, and it was awful. Even though i got an A, mrs jones made this class living hell. I would email her and it would take her a week to get back with me. She doesn't live close so i would call her and that was the only way that she would respond. Several of my papers got lost, or she never recieved them.

I took this as an online course. I'm not an English person but this was the easiest class I have taken at Western. Her tests are definitions and essay questions, but they are what you do on the discussion boards. If you're looking for an easy English class, take her, you won't regret it!!!!
