Additional Comments |
I hated this class for the first section of the course. She gives open note tests over lecture material, but this is more confusing than it seems. She is intimidating and scary at first. The key is to get to know her. When you begin planning your debate, visit her during office hours - she LOVES this. She will take time to look at your arguments and will help you with it. If you send your debate in early when you're supposed to or if you meet with her as you form your arguments, she will give you an A on the debate. Otherwise, you better hope you know what you are doing when it comes to your turn. She will embarrass you if you give her reason to and she will call you out in class. But after the debates start, there is virtually NO work to do aside from completing 2 debates which can be done over a long night in mass media with your competitor if need be. No testing after debates start and they take up about half the semester. If you take this course, be sure to go to class and talk to her every step of the way as you work - you'll have no problem - and you will have fun.
