Thought in general the class was easy, but did have to study a lot for the mid term and final because those were pretty much what your grade is based on. Couple quizzes and a project. Knows her stuff, makes it fairly interesting too and I do not much enjoy history.

Dr. Lucas is an excellent teacher and a very enjoyable lady to talk to if you are interested in History. She knows everything about Western Civilization off the top of her head, and she will get you interested in the class through the assignments. This class actually requires you to watch two movies of your choosing from a list of historically based movies. (Gladiator, Ben-Hur, Braveheart, etc.) If you go to class, take notes, listen and do your project on time, its not hard to come out with an A.

Mrs. Lucas is a very sweet lady with a deep love for history. She lectures and never once looks at the notes or the board. The only complaint I have is that she puts the notes all on the board at the beginning of class, and when she starts lecturing, I found it hard to keep interest. You have a term project also, but its an easy 100 points if you read the newspapers a lot. I love history and if i had to take this class again, I'd definitely take her.

Mrs. Lucas is a great teacher. She really enjoys teaching the class and is quite sarcastically funny at times. You hardly take any notes in this class because she gives you a printed copy before each class, which is awesome cause there are a lot of notes that would have to be takin if she didn't. She reviews you for each test and never gives homework. If your smart you will take Mr. Lucas because you learn a lot from her class with out having to do all the hard work like all the other West. Civ. classes.

When you go to class there is a board full of notes for the day. She also gives you handouts of the material covered. They don't really make since, but if you copy them down and sort of pay attention then you'll be fine. You only take two tests over the material she covers in class. She has study sheets and sessions before the tests. If you go to them a write down the answers she tells you and study that, you should be fine on the test. You have to view two different movies (you pick from a selection she gives you) and take quizzes over them. Also, you have to do a project with newspaper clippings. It's not to bad, just like you are recording history that happens during the semester. Overall, I would definetly take Mrs. Lucas.

Professor Lucas is an overall good professor. Western Civilization is something she loves, and you will see that in her teaching. She could stand up there and talk for hours about it without having to look at notes or anything. She lectures the entire class period. The tests were a little difficult for me because I hate history courses, but if you do really well on the final project (which is easy and worth 100 pts.) you will do well in the course. I managed a B!

This woman can talk. And give notes. She typically stays on subject and is pretty good overall. If you cant remember just by hearing though, then be ready to take notes. She gives either an essay or more objective test (you have your choice) and neither of them were that bad, plus 2 25 pt. quizzes and a 100 point semester project, which isn't brutal.

Professor Lucas gives you handouts that have all the notes on them. She goes over all material before tests and has many study sessions. You will have one term project, and for the most part, the test are pretty easy.
