Additional Comments |
Okay...Where to start... ...If you are completely in love with Broadcasting or Dr. Likes, you will enjoy this class. I personally couldn't be happier the class is over. After taking his class I dropped the major completely and switched to somthing else. It is not only Dr. Likes, but everyone in the BCOM department thinks they are the only people on campus, and they don't understand we are students who can't participate on the Newscast or radio station 24/7. WE HAVE OTHER CLASSES AND ABLIGATIONS! Dr. Likes constantly told our class that "if you don't completely love broadcasting you should get out." He also tried to tell us that we weren't students, and he treated us like we were his employees. This was not a fun class to take, and most people I know agree. (With a few exceptions --females who would flirt with him seem to do fine. Hmm...interesting...?) I managed to get a B in his class, but for the entire semester you feel like you are going to fail...Or quit. The class doesn't make you feel like you accomplished anything, and some of his comments just make you feel like your hard work was worthless. It was difficult to ask him questions about our work or projects, and he would just look at you and say "you should already know how to do that." We would go over something once, and then he would expect us to know exactly how to do it. I don't feel like this class was good at all. I hope this review helps...and I hope you have a better experience in his class than the rest of us.
