Mrs. Minors is a crazy teacher I must say. She'll spend 3 class days talking about the same stuff over and over, then expect you to take a test. All of her test were on blackboard so of course you could use your book. Don't get me wrong though, online test are the hardest tests ever! She has a smart attitude and has left our class a couple of times without coming back. I think she had a nervous breakdown. A couple of times she didn't show up for class and didn't e-mail us saying she wasn't coming. Do not take this woman!

This woman is probably the worst excuse for a college professor that I have ever seen. She does everything online. All tests are done on blackboard, homework is submitted there also. It is choas! She loses things. She doesn't take attendence, but then complains and doesn't understand when over half the class isn't there. I can say that this class was extremely easy and offered a ton of extra credit, but if you don't really pay attention, or ask questions a lot and keep up with all your graded work, you can get cheated on your grade and never know what is going on as far as things being due. I learned absolutely nothing that I didn't already know in this class. But if you are looking for an easy grade go for it.

This is the WORST instructor I've ever had at WKU. Dr. Minors may know her stuff but she comes into class and rambles about nothing for an hour and half and bores you to tears. I had to take this class for General Education, but it was a struggle to get through not because of the grading scale but because of the massive boredom that accompanied each and every class. I learn at least something in all of my classes at WKU, but in this one I didn't learn a single thing and that's just plain ridiculous.
Everything you do in this class has to be done on blackboard. You have a thick textbook to accompany the course, which will cost a pretty penny at the bookstore, and you use ALL of the chapters for tests. You have six tests total with the first one being a multiple choice test in class and the other five being on blackboard. Also, you have to do three activitity summaries (that she takes FOREVER to grade) and post those on blackboard. You also have to give a brief presentation in front of the class, but that's not a big deal just give it and you'll get an A+ if you have half a brain. Finally, you get 25 points extra credit to accompany each test except for the 6th test so all told you can amass 125 points extra credit.
While this grading scheme may make sense to some people, you'll never quite know what your grade is. You won't know your activity summary grades till the end of the semester and when you ask her she won't have a clue either. Attendance, contrary to what she writes in the syllabus, is mandatory and she'll deduct points from people who don't show up or offer extra credit on days when people aren't there. She cancels class quite a bit too which can make you celebrate if you like that sort of thing.
If your looking for instruction out of PH 100 then this IS NOT the professor for you. Dr. Minors is ALWAYS late, holds the class on somedays later than they need to be held, and rambles on and on and on without talking about the subject matter at all. For example, before the first test we didn't talk about ANY of the material and I had to make my own study guides to get an A on the exam. Instead of teaching she rambles about life, people in the health department, her own health problems, and how the bird flu is going to kill us all (no SERIOUSLY that's what she talked about). In fact, out of the six tests we had in the semester we didn't talk about material on the first, fourth, and sixth tests at all.
AVOID at all costs! Just please, for your own sanity, DROP THIS CLASS and find a new instructor because if you don't like wacky lectures and not getting any bang for your buck out of your education then this isn't the class for you.

This class is very unorganized and most of the time Dr. Minors has no clue herself what is going on. I got so frustrated the whole time with not knowing what the heck was going on. She does not teach or cover anything that is on the test. She just comes in everyday and talks about whatever. All the test are online and I see it very pointless to go to class because everything on the test is in the book. This class is very easy if you are a patient person but it is kinda pointless. I did not learn much.. just how to look up answers in my book. I do think she is a nice lady though but just a little crazy at times. This is a good class to take for an easy A but you have to have patience.

Do not take her. Repeat: DO NOT take her. The class was horrible, and really there was no need to even go to class. Anything she does talk about in class just comes from whatever she felt like talking about that day, nothing relevant to the class. The tests come from the book, so read that, but most of the questions are tricky and are counted as wrong even if they are right. She's crazy.

This is one of the worst professors I've ever had. She is very disorganized and VERY unprofessional. First prof. ive ever had to actually walk out of class because she was frusturated. She's definitely got some issues, and unless you want to have problems with submitting tests, grades, activities..ect.dont take her!

Mrs. Minors tries very hard and on some days she is very tolerable. However the class is very unoraganized. It is an easy grade if you have patience. The tests are all online so going to class is really only necessary on the day you give your presentation. You write three papers and do one presentation on one of the papers. With 2 days left in this semester I still haven't recived a grade for my three papers. Several of the assignments you recieve no rubric for yet you still get random grades without justification. For you El. Ed. majors who are required to take Personal Health, no matter who the professor is, I am very sorry because it is a very pointless course, however, very easy.

This professor is CRAZY! and there is absolutely no point in ever attending class, except on the day you give your presentation. (and mine, by the way, only lasted about 2 mintues and I got an A+) . . . Whether or not you get a lecture that day depends on how scatterbrained she is. . . For the first month of class, she spent the entire class period discussing topics that were so completely irrelevant to the course. The tests are online on blackboard and are open note, open book, open everything. . .and are extremely tricky. . . there are so many extra credit points avaliable that even though she does take attendance regularly it doesnt really matter if youre there or not. . . don't take this teacher unless you want to totally waste your time. . .

She is a HORRIBLE teacher...the worst i've had. The class info wasnt that hard, but she doesnt teach anything, then she expects you to know the stuff for the test and half the time we didnt even know what the test was over. She is so rude and will call you out in front of everybody. It is so hard to go to this class because she talks about absolutely nothing and has no clue whats shes talkin about when she does lecture!! DONT TAKE HER!!!

Mrs. Minors is completely insane. The lectures you get depend on whether or not she has taken any medication that day. Her tests are terrible, they have dozens of tricky questions that she makes up, half of the time they dont go along with the book. She is ALWAYS late for class and she ALWAYS forgets what time the class ends so you have to stay about ten minutes more just convincing her its time to let the class out. And you have to do three presentations, which sucks too. DONT TAKE THIS WOMAN!!

Dr. Minors is a awful teacher. Nobody, ever understood what was going on in that class. Her moods depends upon how much drugs she is taking that day. Complaints were submitted, but she has tenure so nobody will do anything about her. I don't understand how she got hired b/c she can't even hold a coversation, more less teach something!

you better have a computer for this class because dr. minors puts all the tests notes and homework on the internet. no paper copies. but that means you really don't have to go to class. there's no final, just a small book report and class discussion.

This is a required course for HCA. Anyone that can't pass this class is either a complete idiot or doesn't bother to study for OPEN BOOK TESTS. Students that complain are the ones that don't open the book, don't come to class, don't care.

In one word, HARD. Tests are ridiculous but open book. mostly arithmetic. Multiple choice and true/false are tricky. This course is required for major and everyone hates this class. BUT if you study and act like you are interested, you get a good grade.

Scatter-brained but huess she knows the stuff. Can't do simple arithmetic, have to correct her. NOT a highlighting course. Covers material not in book. Always available outside class for extra help. Really hard course, you have to study for it even though the tests are open book. Doesn't yell at students that ask questions.

This professor may know what she's talking about, but she does a poor job of communicating expectations to students. I ask myself, "Why did I ever buy the book?" Her lectures are rambling, her exams have trick questions, and she is always at least 15 minutes late for class. Unenthusiasm and disgust for WKU makes her classes tedious.
