Mr. Mellon is an awesome teacher! He told us that he works for us, so whenever that we need him, to just let him know. I had to email him quite a few times and I always got a prompt response. There is a semester long project due finals week and as long as you get in your groups (that you pick-he does not assign partners) and work on it through out the semester, you will do fine. Also, he gives "mini exams" after every three chapters and while they are a tad bit difficult, it is doable. Excellent professor!

This is a great class and a great professor. I highly recommend Mr. Mellon. He is an interesting guy who uses a lot of real-life examples to explain stuff and that really helps a lot. Attendance is not required but I would recommend that you go and participate in class because at the end of the semester you can receive 35 extra credit points for being there. There is no final exam and there are about 4 exams over the whole semester which are not hard at all. There is a paper at the end of the semester which is worth about 40% of your grade so you gotta do good on it. It isn't hard at all either, you just have to go by the guidelines that he gives you.

Donald Mellon is a really great teacher who obviously is interested in the subject he is teaching and his students. He is pretty funny and keeps things as entertaining as possible. The tests can sometimes can pretty fast but only cover a few chapters at a time. There are plenty of powerpoint slides to help you with your notes and studying. Make sure you get a good group of people for your big project, though. The project is a lot of work, but with the right people it isn't so bad.

If you really want to learn something in this class read the book. Most of what Mellon talks about is old information from other management classes. In order to get all of the extra credit you must be involved every class. The test are pretty easy, but his lecture doesn't have anything to do with the test. Look over the slides and read the chapters you will do fine.

This class should have been very simple. However, it was only simple during class discussions. When it came time for tests, he pulled questions out of thin air. Also, cancelled class on numerous occassions. His mother was ill at the time, but it really made class more difficult. We lost weeks worth of class time, but still had to keep up. On the bright side, he gave several opportunities for extra credit, such as bonus questions on the test, and attendance bonuses. For the final, you have to read "the goal" and write a paper about it. It's pretty easy reading.

Mr. Mellon can be summed up by the three L's: Late, Lazy, and Loopy. Could have been an interesting class, and its a shame he was teaching it. Easy class, hard tests with questions that came out of nowhere. Take him if you want a teacher that is always late, always cancels class, and teaches nothing.

This class was the best. Mr. Mellon makes it fun and exciting to learn about Marketing. The final project at the end can make or break your grade so choose your group carefully! He is highly recommended!

I enjoyed this class! Overall it was probably one of my favorite classes i've taken here at Western. Mr. Mellon was very knowledgable about everything! he had great examples from real life experiences to share. there are quite a few mini - exams which is good because it only covers a few chapters at a time. there is no final exam, but there is a HUGE project worth 4 test grades due at the end of the semester! so just go to class to receive bonus points and stay on top of things when doing your project and you'll do fine!

Mr. Mellon is a fun teacher. His tests are tricky and there are about 6-7 mini-tests covering 3-4 chapters. Extra credit is available for class participation and you get more bonus if you miss fewer than 4 days. For the final we had to do a group marketing project which requires a lot of time and effort. Overall he is a fun teacher and is willing to work with you on whatever you might need help with. He uses real world examples on everything and tries to explain everything to help you understand better.

Mr. Mellon is an awesome teacher. I chose Marketing for my major because of this class. The notes are all on blackboard, PPT Slides, so it's easy to follow along in class. He gives several tests, but drops the lowest score. Extra credit and Bonus are a plus! The worst part is the Project/Final worth 400 pts. Be sure you have a good group and get started early!!! This really turned out to be more difficult than I thought. I put a lot of time & effort into the project to get it done on time. Take Mr. Mellon, he is a great teacher, just get on the ball and be prepared for the project!! PS, there's no homework! :)

One of the best classes I've taken at WKU and I'm not even a Marketing major. Mr. Mellon is incredibly funny, helpful, and easy going. He gives frequent mini-tests and huge project at the end, but much easier than a huge final. The tests cover 2-3 chapters and are all multiple choice. They come directly from the power points and book. If you go to class and pay attention, you'll be fine. Very good class!
